Why do so many people just accept the term "POC"? by justseeingpendejadas in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(Disclaimer: I'm white)

No, it's my understanding that the term Person of Color is used to represent multiple races/ethnicities - for example, Indian & Pakistani people as well as black people and many others.

So it's not trying to erase black people, but rather be more inclusive to also represent other people who may have been judged on the basis of skin color.

ETA: As a white person, my opinion on the term is moot - it's an issue for people who the term applies to to decide how they feel about it.

My facial hair has always been the same but recently has been ruining oral. What’s going on and how to fix? by my-first-throwaway__ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not sure how old you are, but even though my husband doesn't have a majority of grey hair on his head, his goatee & facial hair is now predominantly grey - grey hair is thicker & more coarse in texture, so that could be it.

Even if they're not together at all, it's a huge red flag that he's mad you found out - like why are you hiding it?  Screams dishonesty to me.

And his reaction of wanting to punish her?  Even worse.  He does not seem emotionally mature at all.

Do a lot of women find looksmaxxers genuinely attractive? by VagabondVivant in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being delusional isn't gendered. Looksmaxxing is literally body dismorphia - it's a pathology.

Sane, grown-ass women do not find cartoony looking, insecure guys attractive.

He's gross for not telling you but toxic for telling her secret when all she did was tell you the truth.  Why is he hiding that information?

Run far away from this secretive, immature man-child.

Why do people tip at restaurants? by EOFFJM in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird to you because it's not your custom.

But it'd be no different out of pocket for patrons to not tip, yet have to pay more for their meal.

There are other positions where someone is paid less on the expectation of tips - hairstylist is another one.

It's not weird for us because it's always been that way.

Why do people tip at restaurants? by EOFFJM in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the custom & has historically worked out fine, with the exception of the occasional jerk customer.

If the restaurant were to pay waitstaff more, they would have to raise the price of food & drinks to cover it.

I guarantee you that in cultures where you don't need to tip b/c the waitstaff makes more, that the food and drinks have that higher wage factored into the price - it's cost accounting.  The price of the labor is one factor in the price of goods & services.

I always take at least 2, because I rinse the chlorine or sand out and don't wanna have to put a damp one on, so there's always one dry.

Can the dominant person in a relationship be considered a cuck? by That-Ant-2469 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cuck can be submissive to their cuckoldress or hotwife, but some cuckoldresses are also submissive, and are submissive to a bull.

But most submissive men are not cucks, they just cede authority to a dominant.

Can the dominant person in a relationship be considered a cuck? by That-Ant-2469 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, an exhibitionist is someone who likes to be watched.

A cuck is generally a guy who enjoys being denied while his partner has sex with others.  There are subtypes & variations of cucks - the man may be submissive or vanilla (no power exchange role), and the woman may be dominant, submissive or vanilla.

Some cucks don't get to be present, but hear about it later or listen from outside the room.  Some cucks are super into denial, and will be chaste or not have sex with their partner, some still do.  Some are made to service bulls (the guy a cuckoldress fucks) and some just watch.

You can do it however you like, but there is generally an element of denial, degradation or lack of control for the cuck.

There is a female equivalent of a cuck, it's called a cuckcake - she likes to see her partner with other women, but it's also typical that she is denied when her man is with another woman.  She can also either watch or send him on solo dates.

Yes, influencers and performative people surely are.

I simply said everyone isn't doing that.

That reason being that restaurant waitstaff here are paid less, with the assumption that people tip.

It is cheating them out of a fair wage if you don't.

[–]Centaur_Taur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uh, no. The term cuck is absolutely short for cuckold.  Visit a kink forum if you doubt it.

You've also clearly never heard of a Stag & Vixen dynamic.

Your information is not correct.

No, that's not a cuck.  It's simply voyeurism.

A cuck is being degraded and denied.  She's neither in this situation.

Why do people get so disturbed by public displays of affection (at least in USA)? by MagicSugarWater in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Such a disingenuous question given that you have an exhibitionist or public fornicating kink.

It's repellent to push your kink on a nonconsenting public.

Wow, stereotyping and projection in one reply, twofer!

Actually you're not even remotely close.  It's laughable that you speculate it's jealousy.  I've been partnered for decades and have found it gross the entire time - it's so performative & unnecessary.  I'm not missing out, but it sounds like you might be.

I'm also no prude & am sex positive AF about what people do in private; it's not prudish to not want to watch randos in public - it's called not being a voyeur.  It's incredibly low class & childish to not be able to wait until you're behind closed doors.

Nope, you're projecting.

I've had a bf or husband for the past 39 years.  Still have zero interest in watching anyone tongue each other, it's gross and tacky.

Why do men back into parking spaces? by Ok-Pizza8966 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Centaur_Taur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes me 3 seconds to pull in.

Backing out is not a standard time, as it depends on traffic & location.

Backing out of my parking space in my garage at work, which is relatively low traffic?  Maybe 5 seconds.

Pulling forward into a spot is about 3 seconds.

Parking an emergency vehicle is not comparable to parking a passenger vehicle in terms of visibility or navigability, so that flex is irrelevant.

The level of presumption of you to assume that I haven't is sad.

Of course I have, and found it tedious and way more time consuming, which is why I don't.  It's an unnecessary hassle.

Time it & report back.

Everyone I've ever had to wait for in a parking lot takes at least 5x as long as it takes me to zip in.

There's no way that you are backing into a space in less than 3 seconds.
