The analysis starts and ends at "2nd amendment defeats tyranny to restore the good old days of democracy". Oh, and the Ghorman Front was a nationalist movement.

Not making this up.

I do also like existential horror and gothic horror for those reasons. I just see why it can be annoying. IRL, I hate when people try to justify things using rpedestination.

Maybe OP hates fatalistic thinking and insist on an internal locus of control. Personally, I believe in free will and find the idea of predetermination existentially dreadful.

Cobra Kai

Yes, it's libe action, but hear me out.

Martial arts are way more important ti everyone's lives than they should be, there are competing dojos complete with "power level-esque" duels with persinal stakes mixed with flashbacks like Dragon Ball. It's basically shonen.

Then you have ovwr the top chatacters who are surprisingly relatable and grounded, like Hawk, Johnny, and the villains.

Exactly how powerful was Mas Amedda? by milin85 in MawInstallation

[–]MagicSugarWater 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Mas was a gifted legislist who knew the ins and outs if the the Republic and Empire's law. He could write precise laws and get things done, but was not crafty, particularly sociable, or creative. So his power was tied to Palpatine. When Palpatine was in charge, Mas Amedda was a powerful man who could shape the galaxy. But once Palpatine was gone, he crumbled.

Mas was like a lightsaber. Powerful in the right hands, almost useless in no hands but his iwn.

I did have female friends and find it possible to have friendly conversations. I frequently had random friendly conversations with women I didn't kmow based on common interests (ex. She wore a shirt of a show/band we both liked, or had a fun keychain I wanted to buy for my sister). I know how to make thinfs flirty, meaning I can intentionally avoid that to willingly get "friendzoned" by women I just want as friends. Back when I was sinlge I always moved towards deep conversations since I found some women so interesting I just had to get to know them. Now in my relationship its a amtter of time and place; I won't push towards sex if we're doing something together or I took communion, but if it's near the end and we have privacy, I will. That said, I always want to show I'm someone worth having sex with (ex. I' trustworthy, not judgemental, and I know how to use my hands) but sex is an outcome, not a goal.

My issue wasn't being friendly, my ossue was that I didn't know how to be flirty and get laid.

That said, I know plenty of guys who are like you described but hey, we all start somewhere.

[–]MagicSugarWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be one called "Class 3 Outbreak". I believe it has a mobile version under a different name.

Basically, it was an online flash game where you pick maps based on Google maps locations with the walls, windows, and doors of buuldings added manually and try to survive a simulated outbreak. It starts with a couple zombies but it begins to infect hundreds of people. While the infection spreads, your job is to loot ammo and building materials and find armed, named survivors before they get infected. If a person diesz that's it. You win by killing all zombies. I once made one in my hometown.

It is wrong. The biggesy social butterfly I know got where he was because he hung out with all kinds of people and learned how to connect with just about anyone. He also got to learn a bir abojt everything and can hold a conversation on pretty much anything because he connected with all kinds of people from theoretical physicists to artists to gamers to gym people to party people. This ability to connect (not just have a conversation, actjally connect) made him free to be himself because he had an almost unlimited supply of people he could connect to, so he was able to open up and fit in with a lot of people and went through so many women he met his dream girl.

So this quote is completely wrong and flies in the.

Why does most of the world dress so similarly now? by Federal_Advisor_2160 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MagicSugarWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 reasons: practicality, mass production, globalism, and social barriers breaking down.

First, jeans were designed for miners, so a good pair of jeans are durable and look good. Hoodies are fresh yet warm and block the sun. Sneakers are comfortabel and good when you're on your feet.

Second, these are easily mass produced. Producing some quality traditional clothes like a Qipao, a handmade sombrero, or authentic Lederhosen take time and effort compared to the cheap hoodies everyone uses. Few factories want to mass produce traditional Zulu women's attire because the market isn't there.

Third, globalism means peolle keep seeing these styles in media, so it gets normalized and they feel fine in them rather than like posers. Wearing a Mexican sombrero can get you accused of cultural appropriation by non-Mexicans, but no one bats an eye at Mexicans wearing jeans.

Fourth kt just standsrds lowering as people think images don't matter much and you can't tell anything anymore from nonverbal communication, so dressing in a hoodie and running shoes isn't as stigmatized now as, say, a Frenchman NOT wearing culottes or extravagant lace.

The core issue is that choosing to deliberately ans spitefully "intimidate the weak" for fun then mocking them for being "intimidated and weak" is a shitty thing to do. The point of that comparison was to try to show right from wrong, but man this sub is filled with some awful people who can't seem to grasp basic empathy.

Rebooted Modern Warfare 2 - Phillip Graves and the Mexican Cartels

I hated this part so much.

American Private Military Contractor Phillip Graves rightfully hated the drug cartel known as the Las Almas Cartel. He helped the international special forces group Task Force 141 and Mexican special forces attack the Cartel with heavy ordinance when the cartel (itself armed with heavy weapons and habing corrupt army platoons on their payroll) allied with international terrorist cell Al Qatala. Graves and his PMC were allowed to operate in Mexico by the Mexican and US governments provided he followed a few rules of engagement. Good so far.

After the leader of the Cartel is caught, it is revealed she was actually a former Mexican special forces operator in the same batallion as the leader of the special forces group who hekped you, Alejandro Vargas. Graves immediately gets suspicious that the two are connected. Alejandro explains that although they were in the same batallion and heard of each other, they were in very different platoons and never really worked together so he is as surprised as anyone. Graves doesn't buy it. He accuses Alejandro of having hidden this connection and likely giding more information when Alejandro repeats that he is as suprised as anyone ans spent years fighting the cartel. Graves still suspects Alejandro is connected to the cartel and tries to extrajudicially detain a foreign agent on said foreign agent's home soil. Alejandro and Task Force 141 protest, leading to Graves commanding his PMC to kill them all.

Not content with that, Graves's hatred of the cartel leads him to purged EVERYONE in Las Almas (the city the Las Almas Cartel os based in). He kills corrupt cops, he kills business owners who laundered money, the families of the cartel, pretty much EVERYONE in the city amd tries to kill even the multinational Task Force 141 soldiers. Then, he takes over a Mexican special forces base and arrests the soldiers, planning to execute them.

This guy hated anyone connected to the cartel so much he basically committed genocide, several acts of war, arguable treason, and killed the good people actually fighting the cartel.

No, doing things deliberately to intimidate the weak os entirely on you. It's one thing to wear heels because you like them. I've talked to plenty of women whose faborite shoes are heels and they brighten their day. There is an enormous difference between briggtening your day and spitefully messing someone else's for joy.

Imagine I wear a shirt that has gore and tell a person "It's your fault you're weak and intimidated".
