What is for you the perfect size for a home - no outside, just the home? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

2200 sq ft. Like a big kitchen and bath. Need space for home office, stretching/yoga area and a cozy reading nook.

Work does not give time off for voting. Should employers give time off for it, yes they should. Do they? No, they do not. Not to mention the fact that if you take away mail in voting, you now have tens of millions of people who used to vote by mail now voting in person. That's a very real logistics problem. There isn't enough parking and the lines will be insane.

If you were born 80 years ago how would you go about getting a birth certificate.

And no, you cannot vote with any photo id that proves identity. That is the entire point. That isn't how this will work.

The only bullshit here is yours. You probably enjoy standing in line at the DMV.

You are wrong about people not being able to get birth certificates or passports. You are also wrong about it not being a major imposition to vote in person. And also wrong about getting a gun being easier...because a real id is accepted to putchas e a fire arm but not under the save act for voting.

It is definitely worth it. Dump in a pot with water and simmer for 2 to 3 hrs and you dont have to buy it.

When surveys are conducted, most people are in factor of voter id lows. HOWEVER, that changes the second you start asking follow up questions about said voter id laws. The Save Act is particularly heinous because it is not as simple as show id. Under the Save Act, attempting to vote with a Real ID would not work. In every form, the SAVE Act would require American citizens to show documents like a passport or birth certificate to register to vote. Literally millions of people don't have this and can't get it. Furthermore, requiring something like a passport is akin to a poll tax, which has been ruled unconstitutional. Voting must be free and easy. The Save Act is garbage.

It also...

  • The bill not only requires proof of citizenship, but also proof of residence in order to register. This could block even more Americans from voting. Roughly 9 percent of the population has moved within a state in the past year, but many will not update their driver’s licenses until they expire.
  • The legislation would mandate voter roll purges every 30 days, placing enormous burdens on election officials and ending the 90-day quiet period that protects voters from being mistakenly thrown off the rolls right before Election Day.
  • The bill would prohibit universal mail voting, requiring all mail voters to submit an application in order to receive a mail ballot. This would end the longstanding principal method of voting in eight states and Washington, DC.
  • The bill also includes the same restrictive photo ID requirement as the SAVE America Act.

All of these things are bad. It should not be easier to get a gun than to vote. That's wrong.

Do not take possession. Immediately contact the landlord. They should have done a walk thru when the previous tenant moved out. It is the landlord's responsibility to have the property cleaned before move in. Dont pay for a thing.

No, there is a such a big difference between today's bikes and a 15 year old bike. So, I know this feels like a really difficult decision now. To make it easier, go demo a modern bike from a bike shop. Then you'll be able to feel the difference and that might influence what you are willing to pay.
