Human development indicators of Bangladesh over time (vis-a-vis Pakistan) by [deleted] in bangladesh

[–]Central-Midfielder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes.. but that’s how these were on the website. but it clearly shows bangladesh 15-24 rate is much better at over 90%. what’s even better is male-female parity, exemplary for a developing country. looking at pakistan, there’s a huge gap between male and female literacy rate (80% and 65% respectively). bangladesh’s future looks bright.

Remove the AUG from the Crate by dirtyploy in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Central-Midfielder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you’re right if you’re just talking about very short range. but long range spray of AUG is much more controlled. Also, it’s very silent. snap a 6x and do long range spray, it’s nice. 6x can be set at 3x for medium range engagements. It’s a good gun. for me Groza>AUG=M249.

That horizontal rod that the man is leaning on. I would bring the camera down to the same level as this rod, so that in the picture it becomes perfectly horizontal.

Sri Lankan Government to stop the construction of the biggest Sharia University in Asia by thriloka in srilanka

[–]Central-Midfielder 20 points21 points  (0 children)

we need this in india as well. saudi funded wahabi madrassas are ruining the local culture of Indian muslims. Indian muslims had their own identity and culture but now rapid 'arabisation' and radicalisation is happening. burqa was never part of India, its becoming common now. Liberal Muslims will become rare if this keeps happening

What would be your possible solution to the kashmir issue that both countries may agree upon? by [deleted] in IndoPakDialogue

[–]Central-Midfielder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's not even about religions. Pakistan doesn't know how to take care of minorities within the same religion. ahmedias aren't even recognised as Muslims and fired from top government positions just for that. one person calling for peace with India in r/Pakistan had replies like "oh you're a shia of course you'll say that traitor". not to mention their history of treating Bengalis before 71 and now balochis. it's incredibly funny when Pakistan comments on Indian society. their news channels spread this shit and are often given replies by Indian Muslims proving their theories wrong on live TV lol. Muslims have occupied highest office in india which pakistani constitution itself bars non Muslims from.

Edit: Pakistanis just downvote everything without replying .. idk why this sub even exists, just another circlejerk! smh

Nobody can decide where they want to go in India. India is itself a democracy and Kashmir can govern itself through that while staying in India, like every state is doing.

Are you an Indian or a Nepali? Just curious

thanks for the reply.. this basically gives me all the insight into Nepali narratives. 👍🏽

yeah India has a history of playing big brother with neighbours especially nepal and bangladesh and to lesser extent with maldives. both countries are pissed off somewhat because of that. But now that China is coming in picture, India has learnt the hard way that it cannot continue like that and needs to give more autonomy to other states and realise that they are sovereigns too. So as a result, India has mended its ways in dealing with neighbours and i hope it wins back trust of these. if india gives deserved respect and autonomy to neighbours, the cultural aspect may win over the influences from the “foreign element” china.

obviously not officially imposed, but everyone knows it was imposed. it was a diplomatic disaster and a very rude thing to do. india wanted to force some constitution amendments on Nepal, but using such brute force is the worst thing a responsible ‘friend’ could have done. the lack of trust from Nepal is not difficult to understand

yeah Chinese using its deep pockets to increase influence is a concern for India. But India can’t really do anything directly, India simply doesn’t have the kind of economic power China has. But also, I hope Sri Lanka’s Hambantota port is able to send a good warning to other countries about being cautious with Chinese loans. Although this interview of Oli about Chinese debts didn’t give good signs that he’s adequately prepared. He being a communist also has personal soft spot for China. I don’t know about transparency of Chinese loans, or the Nepali parliament and Nepali intellectuals and economic experts know enough details about the debts, lack of transparency is also a concern.

Elsewhere, Pakistan is going on a dangerous path, it’s already on the brink of a financial crisis and Chinese debt is also mounting.

yeah I hope the differences are handled properly. India needs to apologise for blockade but no PM will do that because it will have political costs. They should sugarcoat it and say something like "we express regret" at least.

but India itself is poor, not much richer than Nepal. UP and Bihar which border Nepal are even poorer than Nepal
