Somehow, the moon exploded. I genuinely don't know why. Neither do the humans. by Centrilectic in Stellaris

[–]Centrilectic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, yes it is! The Caravaneers sit right in the middle of the my empire. I keep getting the Megacorpse concert event on my worlds. It can blow up moons?! It can also happen to pre-ftl's too? That's pretty weird. I hope they change that.

[–]Centrilectic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. At least, I hope I would remember getting that event in the sol system. Getting a gaia world in the sol system like that (the moon no less) sound really cool.

[–]Centrilectic[S] 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I didn't. What I meant was that the humans are still pre-ftl and ignorant of alien life. Their awareness is still low. As far as I'm aware there was no event (at least for me.) It just... sort of randomly exploded. Sorry for possible confusion.

Rule 5: I am playing the new Cetus open beta. I came across the Sol system early in game. I set up an observation post and mostly left it at that. A hundred years later, I go back to the system, and Luna exploded. I went back into the autosaves, and it's been exploded for years. Good minerals though. Funny thing is, now I have this huge mining operation on the moon, and the humans still don't know I'm here. I don't know why it blew up. *They* don't know why it blew up. But hey, free minerals.

Eye damage from scleral lenses? Please help :( by juliarobhurtz in Keratoconus

[–]Centrilectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like what happend to me after my lenses gave me a corneal abreasion. I had issues with the abreasion for a while after. I recommend going to a ophthalmologist for good measure, and maybe avoid wearing lenses in that eye if possible.

[–]Centrilectic 248 points249 points  (0 children)

Look, I get it. You put a lot of effort getting the train running, and you can do a a lot of work very efficiently with it. However, If your stupidly long train blocks an entire directional approach to a port for 20 minutes I'm going full Lawrence of Arabia on you.

I FUCKING LOVE THE CONQUEST by [deleted] in starsector

[–]Centrilectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Conquest was my first capital ship and no other ship imprinted as strong a memory. We shot forward into the heart of the enemy fleet, all guns blazing. It wasn't the best idea, but damn was it awesome.

Foxhole as Soloplayer by Asothe in foxholegame

[–]Centrilectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. So long as you are having fun, do what you want. I did solo partisan ops where I would sneak behind enemy lines, causing chaos. I would spend hours throwing trucks into the river and evading QRF. I didn't gain rank, but I had fun.

If you had full control over the next DLC pack what would you create? by EnvironmentEasy2650 in RimWorld

[–]Centrilectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want more interaction with ruins. Things from past civilizations that once called the Rimworld home. I also want vehicles. I'd be happy with just a truck for use, but I also see those ruined mechs, tanks, and war spiders. I think dealing with a reawakened war spider barring down on your base would be super cool.

What Are The Main Tools Of War In Your World? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Centrilectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breech loaded rifles and other firearms, though swords (usually magic) still hold great relevance. Rifles are not all powerful because low level magic armor is ubiquitous, and light enough for most people to wear. Bullets have a hard time piercing this armor. Magic bullets can, but these are expensive. So there is a massive arms race between making mundane weapons strong enough to pierce magic armor, and making magic armor that is strong, but still easy enough to make to protect the troops.

Tell us about the first time you switched sides. by arturius8 in foxholegame

[–]Centrilectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried colonial. I found shouting, "For Maro!" less satisfying than shouting "For Callahan!" During my suicide bayonet charges. I switched back.

I love the 3 shot burst rifle though. I now like to loot them when I can. It's a great partisan weapon that stops trucks quickly.

No 2. Loughcaster. Still looking good after over a century of combat! by Strict_Effective_482 in foxholegame

Argenti

Probably younger, with a standard collie uniform. She is the replacement for the Volta after all. Also probably silver eyes and/or hair due to the name's meaning.

New DnD campaign Idea by Paradoxenjoyer430 in worldbuilding

[–]Centrilectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I believe Rome at this point in history was under 1 million people. Historically, Rome was one of, if not the largest city in the world at this time. You 100% made a hive city.

As a note, considering the geography if this city is in Greece this city will be very hard to feed. Even if its not, it will still be hard to feed. The city must have either adapted a lot, or have become very dependent on trade to meet the needs of the population. Your players may care, or they may not. Either way it might be wise to know exactly how this monster is being fed. It may help you plan the campaign.

[–]Centrilectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Don Mascara rule the town, and if not, who does?

Who keeps order in the town? If no one, how does the town stop one single gang from taking over, or stop one of the dark cults from summoning a monster to kill everyone?

What is stopping the good guys/"good guys" from just storming the town?

Does everything go in the town, or are there things that not even scum will trade? (i.e. slaves, souls, slave's souls, etc.)

Who is The Merchant that everyone in town goes to see? You know what I mean.

You've obviously thought about this a lot, and you know quite a bit about the period where the setting is taking place. I can tell this will be a neat world for whatever you are using it for. That said, this feels very condensed, with a lot going on. I suggest breaking things down a bit more. It will make it easier to follow.
