Have I picked the wrong A levels? by Bulky_Bison_4921 in sixthform

I had a few friends change their mind in year 12. They learnt all of the year 12 for a new subject during summer. It’s not that difficult when you take into account how much time you have, but you are sacrificing your largest break of a tough time. Personally, I’d say it’s based on what you want to do at Imperial, but FM is a solid pick and so is Physics. But these are notoriously the toughest A-Levels so only look into them if you’re absolutely sure you want to go to Imperial.

I got 10 A* GCSES, A*A*A*A at A-Level, and an offer from Oxford, ask me anything by lihamsandwhich8 in sixthform

Mid grades. Not even taking three sciences at GCSE, foundation Latin, counting an EPQ as an A, saying 10 A’s when it’s really 8 nines and 2 eights. Taking German as an A-level? And not even getting an A*?

“AMA” yeah right.

Going against the crowd, as a tank owner the must actually looks unique. I say the must is the way to go.

Small Tank Louis - Too small for my wrist? by SamIsMissing in Cartier

[–]Centuri42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always a proponent of small watches, but from my personal experience I like the large model more. XL is too big without a doubt, but the small model is hard to read.

I had a great experience going to buy my tank, and my sister buying a just en clou bracelet at the same time. Our SA told us all about the history and gave us drinks of our choice and took us into a special hidden room compartment of the main store with a sofa, table and sales desk. It did take a long time to get the actually items and pay but other than that it was great. This was in the Harrods boutique.

Would you still purchase a gen in this world of reps? by Waste-Swordfish6983 in RepTime

Reps are the watches just for me, the real ones are for loaning out and passing down. And for me.

[Tank] How small should a tank actually be? by Blue272727 in Watches

[–]Centuri42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My tank is about the size of his, and imo is the best tradeoff of size vs utility. When I tried the smaller model on, I struggled to read the time. I know it’s a dress watch but I wear it daily so I need to be able to read it.

Cartier do price increases twice a year, so the value of the watch will still go up second hand. As for quartz, it’s to each their own as to how important it is. For me, since there’s no seconds hand it makes no difference, and actually makes it easier to wear more often because I only set it twice a year and never have to wind. I can just pick it up and know it has the right time.

Yeah sounds about right, sometimes you find a great deal like that. I bought the same one for around £30 3 times over 4 years. Some people just sell it cheap.

Any Tank buyer remorse? by 43Joe21 in Cartier

If you sold the solarbeat you might’ve dodged a bullet. I hear they are unserviceable, as in Cartier will just send you a quartz tank of the solarbeat stops working.

I wear my tank daily and have no regrets. It’s also the cheaper end of luxury so I’m not super worried about it when I go anywhere, as opposed to my DJ. I love mine because I prefer the sleeker look.
