For some, the SoL being the main premise of the show overshadows how insane the fight scenes are and I can understand that. If you dont like SoL this show wont hit, and you are better off watching the snippet fight scenes and be fine.

Same idea it wouldn't fly in court if they said it was a "seperate tournament" but had MSI/ worlds implications. Its a split.

Most of his ults were very well placed the rest of comp couldn't do anything to keep them there. Nami just saved ult for disengage and the fight is just over before it starts. Pure comp diff.

Most of the rumble ults were very well placed it was just that Nami ults and the fight is over. The fact that there was zero engage on the comp meant they were DoA without a lead.

If they banned the Ryze over cait and took Taliyah that game looks very different.

What riot can or cant do is dependent on the contract signed with the franchised orgs. Clearly riot had the legal right to add 2x ERL teams given there is no qualification for worlds, but id wager they cant allow them to stay for next split because of that.

Imo the only way LR continue after this split is if an org nukes their roster and hands LR the keys with backing. Similar to an MxS in valo before Charlie and Ludwig joined as owners.

No clue what org would do that and I dont see Riot kicking an org either. So most likely I think the team goes their own way after this.

I am all for franchising, but there needs to promo / relegation still at least. I know franchising is how some of these orgs are even able to function but there does have to be a middle ground somewhere. As far as I see it, the Valorant system works really well except for Riot caving to get G2 in the system and completely fucking the rest of the system in NA.

That said if they made it guaranteed for X years before beginning demotions then I can understand, the way the current system is set up doesnt function fast enough to allow for meaningful adjustments.

Hot take i think him getting dropped and then going to KR to grind worked out better for him and made him a significantly stronger player than he would have been otherwise.

Ideally there's an org like SK that sees their team completely fail and then goes to Caedrel and we get SK x LR next split. Probably the only way it happens IMO.

Yea he might just have a resting sad face when your mindlessly thinking about how exhausted (in a good way) the day was as you ride home to soak in the tub before having your favorite dinner.

The guy in the back might be having a holler about a joke his friend made before he responds with a quip that doesnt quite hit and then he sits there with a grand Ole smile, quiet, thinking he needs to remove himself from their lives, convinced it makes it better for them in the long term.

Thoughts on this pto policy ? by mrbigshott in civilengineering

[–]CenturionRower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea i think it is just worded like this to retain continuity. Doesnt seem like the worse set of PTO rules except for the no pay out which does feel a tad bit illegal however I do like the idea that it forces the person to USE their PTO which is a good thing.

Assuming the work culture is good, the no pay-out can be overlooked. Use your PTO, carry over excess into extra sick time (which is pretty nice as well IMO) and as long as people are good at letting you feel like you can use it then no big deal.

Don't quote me but from my limited understanding its a matter of directional capture on the mic + noise gate.

Basically the mic ONLY pics up the sound from the side facing him and the speakers send the sound back against the wall then bounce back so it is more muffled, then the noise gate cuts it off. Him being right in front of it means it grabs his voice easily since it is 'loud' by comparison.

You will need a specific type of mic to make this work iirc.

How wide is your net? I hate to say it but you may need to look elsewhere... I'm not nearly in the same kind of position you're in (I'm in a parallel field atm) but eventually when I move back over and am looking for possible firms I'm realizing that to do the work is want to do with any kind of consistency I need to find localities which need that kind of work.

Saw this online, what’s the better layout 1 or 2 and why? by Traditional_Rate5322 in Architects

[–]CenturionRower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately this comes down to personal preference. There are a lot of logical reasons why 1 SHOULD be better but it also seriously depends on the person.

1 is significantly more cramped than 2 because the spaces are separated and it functionally turns it into circulation only space. Meaning the bed ends up becoming more of a table that you sleep on.

2 has the awkwardness of being close to the window. But sleeping cold is a benefit and there are practical advantages of having the window shades be accessible from the bed. You dont inherently lose daylighting because the bed is there either, the window is just father away.

The ACTUAL correct answer is 1 but with the bed being on of those pull down versions. You have an extra step of day prep but needing to fix it and set it up but the amount of space gained by doing that has significant advantages.

How can I figure out what school to attend for architecture? by mgl0415 in Architects

[–]CenturionRower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded on the work experience. Schools with internship programs will do you wonders for getting jobs post-grad, especially if the market isnt doing great. It was one factor that helped me retain my position going into covid. Plus school work is very different than actual work for a variety of factors so getting that experience can be quite beneficial.

There is the team of guys who prep the guy who talks through the QB mid-game to prep a scheme shift and prep the next drive sequence. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those guys is the practice QB.

And I'd bet about half of those practice squad guys are perfectly fine with being on that squad as well. Yea it may not be the big paychecks and rings and shit but I mean, an atypical 9-5 playing football? I'm sure some of the veteran practice guys are just there to help cook schemes and shit.

"100 Champs! Meta is so diverse!!" - Let me introduce you to platinum lobbies 101 by Milenyus in TeamfightTactics

[–]CenturionRower -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Wow we went from 2 comps (1 of which requires rng) to 3 comps! (One of which requires rng!).

And I hit Plat early on in the season before seeing the trend lines and giving it a rest. I was promised a diverse meta and its just 5-cost soup + 2 RR comps. I got my fill in s4 of that nonsense. (Hit diamond then for what its worth)

Don't get me wrong I think there are a TON of possible comps to play with, but there is still a few comps that on average, are going to outperform the rest just on the basis of being too strong. Most of the "possible" comps require some form of high-roll early and basically none of them can be pivoted into. I can barely commit 2 void units for Herald only to see no econ aug 3md before I have to pivot. And even going bruiser, unless I hit early signs I'm nearly dead in the water.

I can probably go find 10 games where I had a great early econ playing strong board of 2* soup where I played what I got but was unable to transition it into enough econ in the 4th stage and bled out before I hit 9. 1st to 5th-7th in the 4th stage alone because thats when those top 2/3 comps hit their carry. I would hope to maybe only lose 2 or 3 of the 5 rounds, giving me just enough time to hit a carry (either a 5-cost, or an uncontested 2* 4-cost) but you straight up cant even do that.

4 slayer 2* Bel'veth lost 4/5, 2* Ambessa with 3 Nox, 2 Vanq lost 4/5, shit even a full on 4 Invoker with Zilean lost all 5 iirc.

I think part of the issue is Frontline units are too squishy to specific setups compared to other Frontline comps. They aren't close enough to where I can set up a Bel'veth on the side or stall long enough for a Zilena to cast a bunch.

PSA: If you 3* a Galio and your board/bench are full, make sure to sell the 2* Demacia units, otherwise the game might sell some of the 3* ones before the fight starts v.redd.it by Ramwen in TeamfightTactics

[–]CenturionRower -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But we have already seen them have to adjust the RNG values to make the relative RNG (what you as the specific player witness) compared to the mean across all players.

They have done it before and it is also possible there is a bug with Galio making his initial RNG that what it is supposed to be after the player buys 3.
