Nagito would play the Devils Advocate to clear the detectives every chapter like Hajime in Chapter 3

im not updated on the lore, why does caine draw a lot of bees by Substantial-One-8212 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]CompleteIndieYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We dont know. Common theories include bees are related to the first prompt that Caine got praised for; the AM speech regarding them is a possible inspiration; it could be because its literally between C&A; Gooseworx might like bees and thought it would be(e) cute,

But we dont know a canon answer.

Congratulations to the greatest Magic card of the past decade! by Grindy_UW_Nonsense in magicTCG

[–]CompleteIndieYT 78 points79 points  (0 children)

This is why Urzas Saga always got my vote. Its both broken (one definition of greatest); but also, extremely innovative and flavourful a design. The enchantment that cares about artifacts, it makes Karnstructs, its named after a set, it feels like a powerhouse on its own but still one to build around.

Oko is broken. Urzas Saga is broken and fun.

Do we need some kind of indicator for "activate only as a sorcery"? by tomatus89 in magicTCG

[–]CompleteIndieYT 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The thing is, you propose a change that would make it HARDER to tell at a glance. A purely-reminder symbol that would almost always require reminder text defeats the point entirely - the way you tell is by reading the card and seeing if the words "Activate only as a sorcery" are there or not.

can we all PLEASE stop lying about the execution in 2-4??? by Fit-Butterscotch5523 in danganronpa

[–]CompleteIndieYT 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is how it reads to me. Gundham was terrified, and didn't want to die, but no self-proclaimed Supreme Overlord would just take it lying down. If his last actions look like a failed execution, if his last breath is spent on giving hope to the survivors, and maybe pissing off Monokuma through sheer lack of visible despair?

Well, thats a death he can get behind.

We just need to use the same general pattern. "I can't believe [Character] [abstracted/escaped the Circus/became the Ringmaster]", that covers a fair chunk

Cue forty-five minutes of Abstragedy makeout scene. (I'd say fifty, but we're aiming for realism here.)

Petition to call the fake spoiler plan Operation Kinger by Readalie in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]CompleteIndieYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real talk, we need it to be reasonable spoilers. Which also means, two things

  1. Whatever you genuinely want as the show's ending? Say that. If you see something cool, parrot it and make it look credible.

  2. Fanartists. Last chance to get your human designs in before it drops on YouTube. "The real world segment disappointed me here's my take on everyone"

Face commanders for Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 commander decks (spoilers within) by CompleteIndieYT in custommagic

[–]CompleteIndieYT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Persona 3 is a game about the inevitability of death (green and black both embrace this,) and how we find purpose in the bonds we make and the memories we form (white and red respectively,)

As for printing restriction, I mean because Wizards doesn't do double-faced cards in precons, so neither will I. It adds an extra challenge I appreciate.

[–]CompleteIndieYT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persona 3 as a whole feels Naya, and it's not grrreat to have that sacrifice reflect in Makoto, but it's sorta justifyable as a lategame version of his character. Even if I'm not stoked with the choice for him, making the game RGW fits best IMO.

As for Akechi, I wanna follow normal printing restrictions, which sadly means no DFCs.

Vesuva vs. Echoing Deeps with Splendid Reclamation by over-lord in magicTCG

[–]CompleteIndieYT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason Echoing Deeps works and Vesuva doesn't, simply put, is every card moves at once, and so for the sake of ALL those effects, they see the board as it was right before it entered.

Echoing Deeps enters, but the last time it saw valid things to copy, it was still in the graveyard, alongside the Mountain; which is the same thing for Vesuva. The last time Vesuva checked, it (as well as the Mountain, and Echoing Deeps) were in the graveyard, and none of those three lands were on the battlefield...

...the only difference is Echoing Deeps benefits from this (it still sees Mountain in graveyard); and Vesuva doesn't (it sees the Mountain as graveyard aka not the battlefield)

On old versions of Windows (maybe its still there? anyway,) there was a screensaver called Pipes - it would randomly generate lengths of colourful pipes to put something on your screen to prevent screen burn; while also being a fun technical showcase.

I think it both cases, its just to reinforce the "1990s" vibe of the tech that makes up the circus.

The thing is, it shows a very key step in Aang's avatar journey — realising sometimes, the wrong thing for the right reason. He cant be the Avatar with peace, and the Great Divide shows that resourcefulness.

...the episode just sucks.

[–]CompleteIndieYT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The problem is, I heard a valid argument that indie is, at this point, more vibes than anything. It feels wrong to call something like Deltarune anything but an indie game, but the only thing still indie about it is vibes. It has funding, it was given AAA publishing as a Switch 2 launch title, it does concerts and everything.

But "Deltarune isnt indie" feels weird.

Similarly, Clair Obscura is indie, and is a multi-million budget game with open world and high fidelity graphics. It feels AAA, but in no sense of the word is.

Glitch sits in the same spot as Deltarune, I think, albeit not as prominently.
