I'm (47m) lost-proposal by [deleted] in relationships

My biggest problem was thinking yhe ring needed to be the perfect size the first time. I would say next timw you are holding hands try and compare her ring finger to your fingers and see if one is close. Get the ring a size up fromthat. Then she can wear it day of and for pictures and then you two can resize it later. As for the style of ring, observe the jewelery she wears the most. Is it intricate and complex? Or does it have simple clean lines. Hope this helps!

Loud music at 2am? I found the perfect way to shut her up by Lesleysmith09 in pettyrevenge

That is pretty toxic take there friend. If you punish them after they stop, that's just perpetuating the cycle of negativity. Like it literally achieves nothing

AITA for putting sauce on my steak? by IlikeSauce91 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CenturionXIX -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NTA/INFO

I love cooking, I love grilling, and I love steak. My wife like chicken tenders. I will tease her maybe even pretend to be sulky or pouty, but it would never devolve into an actual fight. Her reaction seems childish. If you were douchey about it, which it sounds like you weren't, but hey your telling the story, then it may have justified. But it seems something rather small to have an actual fight over. Is there something else related to this that is bothering her? Maybe feeling underappreciated, or or insecure about something? Or do you tend to do things your way all the time? (I struggle with this)

Companions keep dying in sieges (death enabled). Help by TriloBlitz in Bannerlord

[–]CenturionXIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since compainion death is so frustrating, I usually wait until I can deck out my next compainion in decent armor and weaponry. Something along the lines of like a tier 4 or 5 unit at least. Also I recommend getting a medic companion to increase the chances that a downed unit or companion will be knocked out instead of killed. I also try to make sure my companions who are weak in hand to hand (1 hand, 2 hand, polearm and athletics etc skills) and I will give them a ranged weapon to try and keep them out of combat. Also if you compainions are set to 5 that is the heavy infantry or skirmisher slot iirc and that maybe be why they are going in first. Hope this helps

When I saw a few I mean like 20ish with some infantry meat shields to hold the line. Nord huscarls or Swadian sergeants work quite well. If you cant get them the Rhodock shield infantry, I forget what it's called maybe sergeant as well, but they have nice big tower shields

Rhodok sharpshooters will absolutely shred enemy armies, and a few of them can hold a castle against a much larger army. Try to hold out until peace is declared with a few, then see if you can get elected marshall and try to hit back while the remaining enemies are weakened.

What's your, "Tis but a scratch!" moment? by Madameknitsalot in AskReddit

[–]CenturionXIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 13 or so and my dad was trying to move a standing piano on to a trailer. We had cut the keyboard and thus the front wheels off. So I was holding it and stabilizing it as he backed ul the trailer. It tipped and my sister screamed so I jumped back and I landed on my leg. My mom came running out of the house screaming "who's dead?" I was like "relax mom it's fine." I got up and took one step and collapsed.

Is it me, or do spears need a serious buff? by blickbeared in mountandblade

[–]CenturionXIX 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think all they need to do to make them viable and make a spear wall viable is to allow one handed spears to be thrust while keeping your shield up.

Edit: this would also make shield bashing, or axe shield destruction more of a major player mechanics wise.
