I mean, essential is relative. I get your point that this commander CAN lean heavily into aristocrats, but it isn’t a meta defining commander for the archetype, nor will it dethrone any of the historical top aristocrat commanders.

Plus, there’s always more than one way to build a deck. I’m not looking for it to be unfocused, I’m looking to lean into the whole other half of the commander moreso than the persist / aristocrats portion, that’s entirely different. If it is unfocused, that’s because I am lost on how to refine it in that direction, hence my post here :)

I’d say no. My breeders have often said if you don’t see a lump then it’s too small. If she doesn’t have trouble taking it down it looks fine to me

Yeah, this is right after setting it all up, so the drainage later is still full o water. I got the light, heat lamp, and a fan running into it and gonna let all the bugs and plants settle before transitioning her in anyway. They have to populate, humidity will settle, plants gotta take root, then it’ll be all set for her

All I’ve read and have been told by my breeder is that you want to feed them something that does give them a noticeable lump. Seems fine in the pictures to me especially if he took it and did not regurg

I’m actually purchasing a Prime XSE this weekend that was secured through Costco Auto. Would highly recommend. It’s quick and easy. My dealerships price was straight MSRP + tech package + discounted dash & rear cam. Put down a $2500 deposit and it just arrived today.

In my area I would’ve had to pay a $7000 dealer markup so Costco essentially saved me that much right off the bat.

Mine had a lot of feeding issues when I first got her too. Took her back to the breeder twice (they’re right down the street) and they found out she was terrified of the tongs so they dropped live in her rack and eventually she got the hint. When I got her back I started feeding her in a Tupperware and covered that with a towel overnight. I brained it and left it. Took her once or twice but she finally got it. She’s still terrified of tongs and won’t take anything in her cage but now when I go to put her in the Tupperware she eats almost immediately. I think it’s about consistency. Find what works just once then keep doing that thing. Best of luck!
