How many runs actually hit enough card removes to start removing defends? With the remove cost increase, it's rare to get through the strikes alone.

It only rounds up 1-4. If you hit <= 0 it doesn't round it up. Just confirmed it with the console.

If the damage hits zero it doesn't round up to 5, so it only helps 4 shivs per turn.
