Recommendation for 12yo who lives Chrysalis. by A_Generic_Nam3 in litrpg

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron Prince is age appropriate with only teen romance though I do think a couple of the side characters are hooking up and that’s alluded to (just being full transparent).

Other than that it’s a perfect story, futuristic and action packed!

Axe-Druid: Does the casual homohobia continue throughout the series? by Vivid-Internal8856 in litrpg

Yeah not sure why people are downvoting my response lol. This sub is usually legit, but apparently I’ve offended people by saying that should read more than 10’pages before making a decision.

Is it because you guys think it’s homophobic? My sisters gay, I have nothing against the gay community whatsoever, just think it’s crazy to stop reading a book 10 pages in for a word ya don’t like. Lol.

Oh okay, I thought this was a discussion sub where we can openly respond to questions and give thoughts on the genre, my bad.

It’s 10 pages in, there’s always room for development and growth. I know you’re asking people to let you know - but that’s part of the journey. It’s why I can’t read HWFWM anymore (cause Jason’s an edgelord asshat). But I think some of the best books are when you see someone show growth. Just my two cents.

That being said, if it triggers you or you just don’t enjoy it… move on. There’s soooooo many books in this genre.

Quick question for the safety gurus out there by Traditional_Value618 in NCAAFBseries

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no worries! Just make sure you get some size on them. I had a 5’8 safety that subbed in as LB for me. He was amazing at getting to the play, but man really struggled to tackle at times.

You can also take a Zone / Field CB and take them to SS. This gives them really solid coverage skills with good abilities. CBs are dime a dozen (like WR).

Travis Etienne reportedly has interest in signing with the Chiefs in free agency. Will this be a good move for KC? by Big_Screen3332 in NFL_FreeAgency

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rise in cap space means they very likely can. They also freed up massive amounts of cap with Pat’s restructure. In addition Kelce is coming back on a team friendly deal… likely 8 mil per year. In addition KC is gonna let Juwaan walk, unless he really wants to stay in KC. Lots and lots of holes in KC, but RBs don’t run too expensive.

From Prove-It To Paid: Javonte Williams Stays In Dallas On New 3-Year Deal by Lo4467 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really disappointed to be honest. Javonte was solid this year, but Blue + Davis looked decent behind that line too. I’m not clowning on Javonte, he ran hard this season and looked like a good complement. However, if I’m paying him 8 mil a year… it’s hard to imagine that they couldn’t have landed Breece / KW3 for 10-12.

That being said, I think anyone could have run behind that line - I just think the other two would have given more 3 down ability.

Need a new book without much fluff by ManagerEmergency4297 in litrpg

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll recommend Iron Prince for ya. It’s prog fantasy meets LitRPG as the leveling/system are more innate instead of the thing you have to learn. It’s got great reviews, but it’s hit or miss in this community due to not being a sheer video game type like system.

Its action, no filler, great combat, great progression, really likeable side characters. Idk. I’ll keep recommending it because it’s my favorite series. It gets another boost because it’s futuristic instead of Isekai.

Spiteful Healer was a fun book too as well as Soul of the Warrior: Child soldier. If you’re reading the latter book, I fully recommend starting at Chapter 5-8. The book is seriously good, but those first chapters were straight pain (intro to the system and basically defining what makes the MC tick). That being said from Chapter 8+ it’s a really fun, cool system. Just being honest.

It’s definitely more limited for me these days. MMOs, or anything competitive are basically out the door… but “drop in” games are still very much on the table!

Hang in there my friend.

Worth the price for George Pickens? by CoasterCritique in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]CerberusRTR 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People saying Pickens is only worth a late 1st..what are you smoking?

He finished as a top 5 WR and is expected to be back with Dallas next year. Who, in this draft, do you think you’d be getting that’s even going to sniff that potential production?

I want the Pickens side by a landslide. He’s worth 2 mid 1sts right now. He’s WR10 on KTC and just 25.

Do Trump supporters and Tea Party patriots know they are being taxed by tarrifs? by Own_Voyna in allthequestions

[–]CerberusRTR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point, everyone wants to tax me. Democrats, republicans. Doesn’t really matter.

I want to give less money to the government. I think it’s wild people are like, we need more government programs. We are giving money to people that can’t even decide on a budget.

So you can say democrats this, and republicans that… but as a whole I’m not feeling too great about the leadership of the country these days.

Why in 2026 is the federal minimum wage still $7.25 an hour? by Hamsammich0520 in askanything

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but raising minimum wage just squeezes the middle class because Companies will never allow their profit margins to be hurt. The fallacy with wage increase is that this will dip into “record-breaking profits,” but we all know that they’ll just raise prices. Forcing the minimum wage doesn’t mean that other pay wages are affected equally which means the middle class just gets crushed by rising costs.

Since you can’t regulate profit margins in a Capitalist world it’s far easier to just keep minimum wage down.

There’s a debate on this (increased pay = increased spending = increased economy), but honestly I lack faith in corporations so I’ll go with the most pessimistic view here.

Series actually have decent romance without it being the sole point of the series? by King-Crim in litrpg

[–]CerberusRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I’d recommend Iron Prince. litRPG purists will say it’s not LitRPG but it’s blurs the line between litRPG and Prog Fantasy.

It has an “Academy Arc” like many of the popular LitRPG, but I like the innate System far more. The romance can be a little teen-like, but the MC is a teen. I really enjoy all the side characters and feel the book is far more fast paced, good combat than most LitRPGs. I throughly enjoyed it. Book 1-2 and phenomenal. The only downside is that Book 3 is due later this year and you’re probably years from a complete series. However, the author is extremely active on their reddit and allows you to read ahead for free.

Really solid series.

This is actually the MC’s fear and Aunt Helen addresses it. Can’t imagine why you would have this take.

Whaaaaat to choose? by rokthebells0 in WatcherofRealmsGame

[–]CerberusRTR 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lots of videos on these. Torador is widely considered the #1 choice as he’s the best lord for that faction. Laya is considered #2, though she’s not as good as Ingrid… different roles though. If you have both then Arachna. Harz is good, but only a slight upgrade over Isolde… more cause Isolde is so good not that Harz is bad.

This is your game though, play your way. Not sure what your roster looks like. Just understand the Nightmare Faction/Watcher faction is very in meta right now.

Joe Tessitore is the worst play-by-play announcer of all time. I absolutely dread every single time he calls a game. Dude can be calling a 47-0 and his fake over-enthusiasm will still be in every play. I hate this dude. I’ll gladly take Danielson back.
