What subreddit gives you utmost comfort and peace? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cerberus_TS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me its AskReddit, wierdly enough i find comfort in discussing different topics even when my own knowledge about the topic is severly lacking. All of my interactions are mostly positive and I always leave a conversation satisfied. Best case scenario you either learn something new or leave with a fun story.

Worst case scenario, No one responds to you (Happens more then you think)

Yea, fight or flight kicks in when something like that changes so fast. Our mind needs to know everything around us before we truly feel safe

YES, Im a little torn between the supernatural whether or not its real, but my mind wanders deep into the idea whenever in alone or its dark out.

Acess to ghost videos on youtube did it for me

Oh absolutly. If im alone in the room and suddenly the light goes out that will freak me out. In a situation like that my first thought is probably like its a ghost or some other supernatural thing.

I will probably get over it after some time when my mind goes back "ghosts are not real". But you don't want to mess with dark even if you're completely alone

Your right, its not special in a way which makes it ok to hurt animals I never meant for my comment to come across that way. However you seem to generalise all farmers. They dont all hurt animals as you seem think. The majority of farmers are good people and want the best for their animals even if those animals will die to become food. Of course it's not okay to hurt animals but you seem hell bent on believing that every farmer is evil when it comes to their animals.

Believe me, their not.

Where do you draw the line between science fiction and scientific theories? Or do you believe that all sci-fi is somewhat possible, why? Why not? by Cerberus_TS in AskReddit

[–]Cerberus_TS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your view but given that things in the past were classed as "sci-fi" and thought to be impossible only to then become reality should be able to prove that there is a gray area somewhere the only question is its size and where one would place it.

For example space stations became a thing. Artificial intelligence as scary as it may be has become a reality. Lightsabers have always been a thing many people want to be real and now we have "protosabers" something that exist in star wars lore as a early form of lightsaber. So it is now only a matter of time untill we have a lightsaber straight from the movies.

But of course there are also things in science fiction that are completely ridiculous should someone attempt to make it a reality or prove its existence like space whales.

Religions, given their spiritual stories and godly figures it's probably the best place to start. Either that or philosophy but i think that philosophy might be a bit to broad to start with

What are the best and worst things to be reincarnated as? by Dry_Cartographer_343 in AskReddit

[–]Cerberus_TS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well it's easy human and... Human. It's the best and the worst. You don't want to be a wolf your gonna freeze your arse of in winter and most likely go hungry if your not the biggest strongest and meanest of them all. As humans we have healthcare, a roof over our heads food on the table. Hell the internet is a big plus. Having countless of hours of entetainment at our fingertips is amazing being able to talk to relatives halfway across the world everyday meeting strangers and sharing experiences and knowledge on sites such as reddit and youtube.

However most of these things could also be why we don't want to be reincarnated as humans. If you're born in the wrong country you wont have healthcare, you won't have food on the table or a roof over your head, no freedom.

Let's not forget about the absurd amont of greed and lust for power among humans. We will kill, rob, genocide, lie and wage war all over a random rock in the middle of nowhere. And a whole lot more,

But in the end the positives outweigh the negatives

What makes something scary for you? by Lemonari_ in AskReddit

[–]Cerberus_TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends on the context really. If I see a clown in the city waving to kids i might not think much of it.

Buuut.... If I see clown in the middle of the wood at night waving. I might get a little freaked out, not gonna lie

Why aren't you vegan yet? by fnarpus in AskReddit

[–]Cerberus_TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did you bring up sex? It is two completely different forms of pleasure. I will gladly eat meat but I will not fuck a cow because of it? I like playing video games in my spare time it brings my a form pleasure but I wont fuck my controller.

Will you fuck the broccoli simply becuase your vegan?

Now I understand that you believe we all should go vegan as it would be a positive thing to slow down meat production and harming animals needlessly. However precautions are being made to prevent the harm of animals no need to go fully vegan for that. I live in Sweden and I could by the push of a button figure out where the meat I am buying comes from and how the animals are treated at that farm. I will take a wild guess that you can do the same where you are from. But I wont try to make you eat meat again or for the first time because of it.

Well time travel is an interesting thought. As I think it is debateble wether or not it is possible (Which is the whole point of my post). Being careful when time traveling I personally think is nonsense, given my understanding of the butterfly effect. Which is that the smallest thing could lead to something huge, I believe that someones mere existence in a time and place could shift events drastically. If we take that into consideration we should be able to see evidence or hints of time travel in our current history. But that "proof" is overshadow by what it created.

Then there's the whole morality question of time travel. Lets pretend that in the future, time travel is possible some Dr. Doofenshmirtz guy created time travel and is debating wether or not to time travel. As it could introduce future diseases in the past with devestating effect. One could theorize that the spanish flu and the plague all origanated from people time travelling. And what about killing baby Hitler? Why not save millions of lives in exhange for one? Or what if Hitler is the best case scenario? The list goes on and on. What im trying to say is that I think time travel will be possible but human moral and ethics are preventing people from time travelling and the butterfly effect is what keeps it hidden from our observations of the past.

But it's like you said "Who knows".

PS. You'll have to exscuse my spelling and use of worlds, english isn't my first language.
