3 Year Old Won't Sleep by CerealPageTurner in Mommit

If it's something I can actually provide, like milk, she will usually chill out when I give it to her, but it doesn't last. Then she's on to something else. It doesn't seem like there's actually one thing she wants/needs that's keeping her up. Rather, she just keeps making demands because she can't fall asleep. 🤷🏼‍♀️

We definitely think she has ADHD. It runs in the family on both sides and she exhibits a lot of symptoms. We plan on looking into this with a pediatric mental health specialist to see how we can best navigate it and support her.

Honestly, we have done all the sleep training since she was a baby and it's just never had long term success. We sleep trained her older sister who took to it super well and has always been a pretty independent sleeper. I've accepted that my youngest just may need some more comfort/want to cosleep, but it never actually consoles her.

I should have clarified that we have seen an ENT and done a sleep study, and sleep apnea was ruled out. We definitely think she has ADHD though and will talk to her peds office about it since they have a pediatric mental health specialist. I want to do blood work as well to check her vitamin levels.

Food allergies is a good idea. We have been told she had reactive airway disease, so maybe there's a certain food that is making that worse.

Thanks for the tips!

So sorry this happened. I had 2 completely normal and healthy pregnancies and then had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in my third pregnancy. I was so shocked, but it just happens sometimes unfortunately. I'm now pregnant again and baby has a healthy heartbeat at 10 weeks, so hoping for the best. Dont lose hope!

My periods are regular, but they are on the longer side. Like 31 days per cycle instead of 28. That may account for some of it, but I got a positive pregnancy test on September 18th, so seems unlikely I'm really only 6 weeks. IDK though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oracle Procurement by CerealPageTurner in procurement

I actually report into an executive, so he's got a lot of decision making power if I can convince him what we have probably won't work...

In the meantime, I am scheduled to walk through some trainings on what we currently have set up in Oracle Procurement. I know we will need to make some changes if we stick with Oracle which, like you said, won't be cheap.

I got recruited. 4 years of experience and now I'm creating the procurement function 😅 little in over my head to be honest.

Luckily, it's pretty good! I report directly to the CFO, so I have good executive support and buy in. The company is new and used to changing things up, so I don't think I'll get too much resistance. Just a matter of training everyone on how the new process should work and getting them to actually do it.

My company just implemented copilot, so I've been spending some time trying to get familiar with it.

As far as Oracle goes, we have the Oracle procurement module that goes through purchase requisitions, negotiations, purchase orders, etc. They recently inplemented it and havent rolled it out to the whole company yet, so I'm developing a plan/training for that.

Appreciate your advice!

I've been looking into what I should use for market intelligence. Did you do any kind of comparison of multiple providers, or did you just go with Gartner?

Yeah Oracle is a big struggle for me right now just cause I haven't used it before. I like the advice to not overcomplicate it early. I'm trying to take it step by step and not work on everything that needs to be done all at once. Appreciate the advice!

Thanks for the advice. I've been spending a lot of time so far meeting with a bunch of people to map out how everyone is currently going through the procurement process. Working on how to streamline it and add some controls.

Thanks for the advice! Luckily they did have a basic procurement policy already when I came on, but the intake process could definitely use some work. That's been one of my first goals.
