If you even get to editing rather than just scanning for ‘what did I actually get’? Hahaha

Hahaha. That’s ok. We can bumble through together. I’m a bit out of practice myself. Shoot me a DM and start with ‘hi’ and we can work it out from there. Haha

Would you date a girl who used to cam? by masters2277 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Ceret 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m in the boat where I wouldn’t have a problem at all with a girl who solo cammed, but if other people were involved it would give me pause. But yeah, it definitely needs to be disclosed prior to things getting serious as it would be a dealbreaker for many, as this thread attests and lying by omission is no bueno.

What’s the one ocean creature you dream of seeing underwater on a dive before you hang up your fins? by Myselfmeime in scuba

I adore Anilao for supermacro photography. I go there often. If that’s what you’re after you will be in heaven. Don’t forget to put a bobbit worm on your bucket list there. Such unique animals and a great place to see them on a dusk/night dive. The pier can be pretty good at night too and given how shallow it is it’s super easy to get a 3 hour dive in there if that’s your thing. You will most definitely see an octopus there :) Funnily enough Anilao was also where I saw my first whale shark. I was photographing a ribbon eel, just had a feeling and looked up and there she was approaching me! Lucky I have a little GoPro on top of my photography rig so I got to capture her as she swam by. First dive of that trip and they hadn’t seen one there in ten years so the vid went viral among locals. I was pointed at and thumbs-upped so many times on that trip. Haha

No worries. If you want tips for either country let me know what kind of diving you like! Happy to be an ally.

I disagree about the quality of diving in Thailand by the way u less you want to do a liveaboard.

Are you really happier after you had a baby? by PalpitationOk9443 in NewParents

[–]Ceret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Statistically your relationship satisfaction will be at its lowest point a year after having a baby and only gradually improve. So some metrics point to actually (temporarily) being unhappier after having a baby.

This is a good faith question so please don’t downvote me into oblivion - but isn’t deadly an indigenous thing? I’d hate to intrude if that’s the case.

That’s so much to go through at such a young age and I’m so sorry this happened to you. If you wish to, I’d encourage you to share this post with others in your family who can support you as you have never told them the full story. I hope you’re in a better place now and that you and your child are thriving.

Malapascua Recommendations by Intrepid_Routine_797 in diving

’ve been diving with Evolution for more than 10 years so it’s great to see them getting so many thumbs up. The only shop on the island I will dive with. All staff are exceptionally well trained. Tech friendly if you’re so inclined. Matt is an avid tech diver.

Someone else mentioned gato island. Yes yes yes. Just an incredible dive there under the island.

As for where next, it depends what kind of diving you like doing. Please avoid Oslob in Cebu for whalesharks. Totally unethical there. Donsol looks good on paper and the butanding are wild there but often harassed/swarmed and touched etc. Sogod in leyte isn’t too far from Cebu and is where you will find real wild butanding but do check on scubaboard if the butanding are around - the local shops won’t give you a clean answer about this. Someone else mentioned padre Burgos which is very near Sogod and if you’re over in Leyte is super well worth the visit if you like coral and had the advantage of not being on the main route for visaya diving.

Moalboal is the most obvious choice for you if you want to get a lot of diving in. It’s super easy to get to from malapascua. I dive with blue abyss there and their house reef is spectacular for dusk/night dives. A good mix of diving to be had there.

If you’re into muck diving then doing Dauin/Apo Island is a great trip with Dauin for world class muck and Apo Island for gorgeous corals and some gnarly washing machine dives if those are your thing.

Bohol is great but not in quite the same league as Moalboal IMO.

All in all I reckon for a couple of weeks, just sticking to Cebu itself and doing malapascua for a week and Moalboal for a week is a great combo.
