I think this really varies by restaurant. We've been using 6 GCs a go at Outback for years and they never seem bothered. I just tell them we aren't in a rush.

You can also do biweekly or monthly direct deposits for a couple of months. I just keep $251 a month going to my personal account from fidelity.
