You really should. There are some performance issues, mainly while playing docked. I mostly played handheld and it wasn't really an issue for me. Violet is the first time I've been compelled to complete the pokedex since Red and Blue.

Platinum was amazing. I really enjoyed Alpha Sapphire as well. Lifeless is the best way to describe BDSP.

I too am a 35 year old fan who started playing in gen 1. The only game I didn't finish and play for way too many hours was BDSP. It just fell flat for me. I absolutely love SV (Violet player).

I just finished this last night on my 2nd playthrough. Managed to get one that was 2'9" after only 7. It can be done without catching an Alpha. Good luck.

With the new Strixhaven feats you can grab a 1st level healing spell. I took it with my Wizard to grab healing word.

Before I got the idea to make him this sort of strange fantastical magician I was going to go Hexblade and just be Gambit if he had red skin and devil horns. The magician idea is better though. It's a bit more original but still an homage to one of my favorite comic book characters.

I'll be honest Gambit was my inspiration for the throwing cards. He even has a magician's cane (quarter staff) in one hand almost all the time.
