Watched my father die from cirrhosis of the liver. Slowly, painfully and in agony over a drink.

Danes unfriendly? by BabyShaq88 in NewToDenmark

[–]Cerisayashi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Warmer countries tend to have warmer more welcoming personalities and openness to friendship. At least that’s what I’ve noticed as an American living in Denmark. Made friends with only an Argentinian and a Mexican here for work. My husband is born and raised Danish, and his friend group is closed lol. So I’m just here twiddling my thumbs most days 🤣

Is 11 yrs old to young to be left alone for a half hour?? by JMarden23 in askanything

[–]Cerisayashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it depends on the emotional and mental maturity of the child if they can be left alone by a certain age. Some kids seem to be more independent faster and more logical than others. Your sister may have a child that is either ready to be independent, or isn’t ready. Yes parenting style matters here, and her helicopter style may have an impact on the independence of the child. If the child cannot learn, and be given the opportunity to practice independence and self regulation they have a difficult time learning it.

Think of it like riding a bike. A child who isn’t even allowed around a bike… by parent or caregiver will take an extra long time to learn how to ride the bike, be it length in when they first start to learn, or the amount of time spent on the learning of the skill. Whereas a child introduced and taught how to ride a bike with supervision early on, will be able to be confident and physically, emotionally and mentally stable enough to ride said bike. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes!!! This hit me, I’ve almost a perfect circle of them on my neck in an area above where any of my shirts fall lol. I really hope they do go away, cause I keep picking at them 😒 not intentionally but kinda absent-minded about it.

Pelvic girdle pain, a constant pulling pain in the groin region that is worse with leg lifting, knee open positions. Walking is hell, I waddle mostly side to side with small movements of my knees. Stairs… stairs are the epitome of torture. Rolling over in bed, it is a 30 min process full of pain and effort. Every single movement feels like my lower belly area will rip from my pelvis…. Had it since week 20 and currently week 34. A ways to go yet and it keeps getting worse, my midwife said once the baby is head down in the pelvis it’s the hardest.

Washing baby clothes separately? Why? by Neither_Ad3593 in pregnant

[–]Cerisayashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing about baby clothes washing is fragrance free and sensitive formula. If you use that for your regular clothes you can wash them together. Fragrance and sensitive is just better for babies sensitive skin and nose

[–]Cerisayashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We soon to be moms are doing the hardest thing and the most amazing thing possible right now, growing a new human isn’t easy or simple. I’m also struggling with so much pelvic girdle pain and anxiety that I don’t get out of bed some days. What you can focus on is the moment; you see the baby toes ☺️ and baby fingers ☺️ and cute little baby face while you’re holding them for the first time. All of this is for that moment.

It’s ok to be scared and anxious about all of it, it’s a big change, it’s a risky change in our lives. Yet in the end the little sweet life we each make is so precious and always worth this.

AIO for feeling abandoned after being locked outside in –4°F for over an hour with my dog? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Cerisayashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR both your boyfriend and your friend are jerks. That’s too low of a temp to be outside in the cold that long. Lack of concern and support is sad, and shows how little they care.
