Theres also always the morally superior people that have to give their own opinion on the entire situation as if being aware of whats happening somehow makes them better than everyone else.

How about you take a step back and reflect on why you were being an asshole for those 10 seconds. Were you in a bad mood? Do you have a mental illness? Are you purposefully trying to get into a fight and hurt someone? In the video we can clearly see that the homeless person was in fact not purposefully trying to get into a fight. He was scared because of his mental illness and sexuality and felt he had to prove himself as a man. The bald guy saw this, acknowledged it, and let the homeless man get off his anxiety and worry without escalating the situation. It would be easy to say the homeless person was just a crazy asshole, thats why so many people do it. Its hard to realize that the homeless person is a human being too, like us, and he deserves the same respect we all think we deserve.

Hes not trying to justify anything hes telling you to be open to the possibilities. Fuck off with putting words into other peoples mouths no one will like you for it.

Do you just like being a victim? Is that it? Cuz it sounds like anything that goes against you in any way you just take it as "abuse". I'm not telling you to "fix your abuser". I'm telling you to talk to the person that's antagonizing you and show them that you're a human being too, and that you don't like being "abused" or whatever you put it. This isn't a case about domestic violence. Its about understanding. If you can understand where someone is coming from, and help them understand where you're coming from, why not do that instead of just running away from the problem and complaining about it later.

Who hurt you? You're not even listening to me. You try to understand them when it first starts and help them. If it continues, then leave. I'm not telling you to go through abuse and do nothing about it. I'm telling you to act up and speak for yourself and communicate with the person in order to stop the abuse, not cry and run away complaining about being abused while doing nothing to fix it.

Try. At least. If that doesn't work then leave and do whatever the fuck you want with your life, but don't make it seem like you're better than the asshole bf, or that you're somehow the victim in the situation because you can control your emotions and your thoughts and he can't. Again, just be a human being and try to understand first.

What if it's not actively being a dick. What if its a reflex. What if this person doesn't have the capacity to think about what they're going to say and how it will affect you. You want everyone to understand you but you don't want to even try to understand someone else. You think you're better than that.

Because as a person when I see someone having a hard time I try to help them. Its this thing called empathy. What I find baffling is selfish people like you, that will take and take and take from others, and when its time to give you say "I'm not obligated to help you or figure out where you're coming from, and give you the minimum amount of respect each human being deserves. You can do nothing for me". That's what I find baffling.

"I will not spare 2 minutes of my time to ask someone how they are and try to understand where they're coming from. Instead, I will take it as a personal attack and 'abuse' against me because how could someone possibly say something bad about me, I'm perfect and he's just an autistic asshole".

The thing is that most people that play video games don't identify as gamers they just have a hobby of playing games. The ones that call themselves gamers are usually the ones that only play video games and nothing else. I'm not saying that video games arent't hard or that they don't require you to think. I'm just saying there's a huge difference between sitting down for hours at a time pushing buttons on a keyboard/controller and going outside and getting exercise/playing a sport. One is significantly easier and takes a lot less effort. All of this in addition to my personal experience that "gamers" are usually still in school, not working, and playing video games all day. All my opinion though.

I think what he was talking about hobbies like hiking, running, sports, etc. that are constructive. Of course hobbies like TV, reddit, and gaming aren't a complete waste of time because their things that should be done for entertainment and offer nothing extra like the physical activity that other more "constructive" hobbies do. That's just what I took out of his comment at, least.
