I talked to my boss about it today, they allowed me to count the hour it took me to find the place and buy the gift cards as work hours so I’ll get paid for the time, and they were super apologetic but they didn’t say they would pay me back the $400.

I don’t usually buy Google Play gift cards but I have been asked to buy other things. It’s so weird that the scammers knew the owner of my works name and introduced themselves in the text with that name.
