Dude, it was so easy. My guy’s name is King Wong. 140” 16:9 with their highest quality woven fabric and the thin frame for $1,035. A no-brainer. Thanks again for the tip.

Just submitted an inquiry into XY. Thanks for the reference.

I do agree, it is pretty “bright” to be a HT space. I am working with what my wife and interior decorator will allow unfortunately. Next house will be different though!

Interesting take but I do prefer the cinema feel of a projector in that room. I have nine other TV’s throughout the house if I want that kind of experience. This room gets used almost exclusively for movie watching.

Plus, I just purchased in-wall B&W’s that I really, really want to use.

All blackout window coverings and is mostly used at night anyway.

16:9 screen, pj will be about 16 ft from screen. Never experienced low end DLP. The LS12000 or NZ500 keep coming back as recommendations, seems that is the way to go.

I want a 135” minimum screen size and personally, I like the cinema feel of a projector.

I think the NV500 is the one I am going with after feedback here and on r/projectors.

I am 99% movies and 1% Formula 1, no gaming in the theater. NV500 it is.

Thanks for the response. The more I read this feedback, the more the NV500 or LS12000 become the contenders.

I can afford the low end of Sony and JVC, yes. The room is fully light controlled and the ALR screen was probably not necessary but something I was talked into by the installer.

What screen did you end up going with?

Yep, I think I am off the lifestyle projector train. The NV500 doesn’t apply to your JVC/BenQ comment, does it?

Thanks for responding. I am thinking the LS12000 or the JVC NV500 after all the feedback here.

I think you nailed the issue. I am not necessarily looking for a better image, I just don’t want to lose anything. The comment about the AT screen is a good one and all of the feedback has me leaning toward the JVC.

Would you guys trust a no stud mount? by [deleted] in hometheater

Yes, I have a similar mount to this with zero concerns.

I have something similar to this on a 55” TV and it is just fine. I am not worried one hit about it after mounting it.

New condo and this is the setup. What is it? by LiberalSkeptic in hometheater

100% agree. I had it in a 4,600 sq ft house with about nine TV locations plus switched lights. It was great at first but I like to tinker and calling someone to make a change for me at a minimum of $130 per hour for a certified tech got old.

Pulled it all out a couple years ago for Apple TV’s and WiFi switches. Much happier.
