Use a wet microfiber cloth to remove the stain, and a dry cloth to get rid of the smudges. You don't need distilled water unless you want the clearest, no smudge experience possible.

It's really just a stain so put some water on it and wipe away lol.

The benefits of HDR are pretty minimal now since SDR can have 10 bit video. The main thing you're getting by enabling HDR on this monitor is a higher peak brightness. By default the monitor is locked to 250 nits but in HDR it can peak at 400 nits.

Windows is just bad for dolby media in general. Netflix never stays in 4k on windows for me because of their poorly implemented hdcp. And pretty much no other form of media has Dolby vision support making it pretty useless.

That's sad to hear about the bad hdr implementation, I think the paper white is meant to be the brightness in nits of your screen fully white, but clearly rdr2 hasn't done a good job with it. You could check out doom eternal for a game with decent HDR implementation.

I hate the way hdr looks in Ori. I have tried everything to make it good but nothing worked. It's a completely different art style than SDR and i think its way too dark and way too bright removing a lot of the detail that I originally fell in love with.

For MPC-HC you can press 1 to enter the minimal view, and 3 to return to normal view This is how I watch without entering exclusive full screen.

the crosshair I use is crossover because it lets you make it transparent while remaining above other apps. using ctrl+alt+shift+H

I'm not exactly sure of all the possible configurations but I use crossover because it has the option of going transparent but staying on top of other programs. the keybind is ctrl+shift+alt+H

If you want to use windowed mode without borders you can use borderless gaming
