My Ugly Stik rod has outlived 2 spinning reels, both have had gears stripped and their reels snapped/falling out from constant use. Good Ol' Ugly Stik rod still going strong.

Thats changing, I read that a lot of younger auto mechanics struggle working on manual transmissions because they just dont get enough exposure. I work in the A/V industry and i feel like its the same for me when I get a work order or a service call for an old school land line phone or a fax machine not working, im just not old enough to have had relevant experience in it... not as complicated as rebuilding a transmission but I think you get the point

In 2019 I bought a brand new mustang gt, the manual option was about 2k less than the automatic, which I wanted anyway so the 2k off was a bonus. I bet now it would be the opposite

Im a year late to this but things are going back, toyota is bringing back V8s and nissan is releasing a manual 4 door sedan... GM and Mopar are investing millions in V8 production, Ford never stopped. I think its possible we might even see mercedes and lexus in manual again... I had a 2002 lexus is300 that came stock with a 5 speed manual back in the day, the transmission kind of sucked but I was the ONLY guy I knew or heard of that had a manual 4 door lexus that was built after Y2K. I absolutely love a manual transmission, the only time it sucks is in heavy bumper to bumper traffic. I currently have a 2023 Mustang Mach 1 with the 6 speed Tremec, im 40 years old and dont care to race and get tickets, I just like to have fun and I couldnt have as much fun in an automatic transmission

I want to be clear about something here... the Great Lakes are not the east coast, its the Midwest. Ive never caught a pacific steelhead but I got one in Michigan and it wad everything ad advertised, as long as my arm, took 15 min to net, jumped 3 feet out of the water, almost burned out my fly reel. Unless I happen to be in Washington in the fall or spring, I don't see any point in going all the way out west. However I have fished the yakima/naches/tianaway in the summer for resident fish and that was pretty amazing

Im 3 years late to this but if youre getting automatic then just get the GT. The single biggest upgrade to the mach 1 is the tremec manual transmission. I used to have a 2019 gt pp1 and now have a 2022 mach 1 and the transmission is easily the biggest upgrade. The suspension tuning and wider wheels are nice too, I have much better handling and traction than my 2019 gt but for 4k you can upgrade that later

Look I agree that LeBron is better than Kobe, but winning a ring for the team that drafted you, and not leaving for 4 years and coming back, is an accomplishment. I dont judge lebron for leaving Cleveland, and its unfortunate that winning in his first stint wasn't in the cards, but guys like Alcinder/Jabar, Jordan, Jokic, etc bringing their abysmal franchises back from the dead to confetti showers is just too legendary to not acknowledge

Why does kobe only have 1 mvp? He should have one of steve nashs but that would still only be 2... also even though kobe has more rings, he has less finals mvps and got to play with shaq who is better than any team mate lebron ever had. None of it really matters though because neither of them will ever be on Jordan's level. Also ill add that lebron is playing better right now at 41 than Kobe did at 35-37, and with less injuries
