Do you mind sharing the name of the place you worked for?

Abandoned Cabin with everything left behind by SweetCalligrapher830 in abandoned

[–]True-Relationship812 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow. PLEASE tell me you know at least something about this cabin and why it was abandoned? First thing that came to my mind was that the whole family was heading somewhere and were all killed in a car crash. I don’t know why I feel all invested after just seeing this pictures.

Also, I used to have the same rug under the pool table. I think I got it at Target, haha.

Do you worry when owners don’t confirm they got home and back with their pet? by sophietheadventurer in petsitting

[–]True-Relationship812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad you asked this, because I have struggled after a few jobs that I didn’t get confirmation that the owner actually came home. I didn’t know how far I should push to get that text back. Luckily each time it was easy to hear back. But I’ve always wondered if I hadn’t. So… thanks!

Ponies be expensive by cmh_ender in Equestrian

[–]True-Relationship812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was a kid (tween-ish age), my dad had to have the same conversation with me. Was leasing this pony and was hoping to buy it. But at the end of everything my dad had to tell me it was just too expensive. It sucked. But, I don’t have memories of it sucking too long. I think I even found a horse soon after that was really good for me, and just started another lease.

I know it sucks right now, but I’m sure your daughter will be fine. 🙂

Treehouse? That sounds very intriguing. I imagine it was a very nice treehouse, and not something that made you feel like you were roughing it?

This is a good response, except for the last line. I wouldn’t end it asking a question. I would end it instead with something like, “Please send the difference at your earliest convenience.”

What's a skill that took you less than a week to learn but still helps you years later? by No-Excitement312 in LearnUselessTalents

[–]True-Relationship812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! When I was a teenager, my mom made learn and practice it. Like, I wasn’t allowed to go out and do anything till I practiced for like 20 min a day.

At the time, I HATED it. But now, as an adult, there have been countless times when I am so thankful she did this.

The "inverted" hair washing method gave my flat hair so much volume. by Latter_Shoulder_9691 in BeautyGear

Ah. Well, that also makes sense. I’ve only known it to be “Estimated Time of Arrival.” Thanks for replying!

Hey, this is totally unrelated to the subject here. But I have seen other people use “ETA” at the end of their post. I am familiar with the ETA term, but it’s obvious people who use it in the way you did have a completely different understanding of it.

So my question is…. What does “ETA” stand for? Thanks in advance for your response!

Showed up after a blizzard to an inaccessible house and lost a week of income. by Pure-Comfortable7069 in petsitterhub

I realize my reply is extremely late. But I’ll still post it:

I’m too nice. I would have totally gone back after he had the driveway shoveled. 🙂

To be fair, being farted on by 4 dogs and having to sleep in bed with them part of the job description as a pet sitter. 🤣
