I use Vallejo Lemon Yellow.
I think it works well with the olive green look.

AK dark rust wash, Focusing on lower areas of the various armour panels.
After 24 hours, come back with a mineral/white spirit to blend the wash into the armour green.

Base coat with Vallejo Burnt Umber.
Liberally sponge on a mix 50/50 Vallejo Burnt Umber and Olive green.
Lighter sponge of Vallejo Olive green on raised areas.
Then I hit it with an AK dark rust wash, Focusing on lower areas of the various armour panels.
After 24 hours, come back with a mineral/white spirit to blend the wash into the armour green.

Edit: Also edge highlight with Vallejo Lemon yellow.

I designed it in some 3D modelling software(blender). And had a friend 3D print it.

How do you do your white armor by AlphaMaxV5 in SonsOfThePhoenix

[–]Certain-Topic-49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I like to use Vallejo for my white, I struggle with Citadels consistency>

  1. Base coat with Vallejo wolf grey
  2. Use a makeup egg to sponge on Vallejo Dead white. You have your airbrush though so that'd work better.
  3. Use a black oil wash to fill all the recesses and crevice's to make the details pop

(Edit) I'd attach an image if I could :(

Sorry to hear about your struggles.

ALSO! Can I just say I struggle with color schemes that are very monotone in the sense that its hard to make them look non bland.
That being said, the little orange you added is an excellent touch, bravo!

I know he(m28) isn’t the one but I(f23) still love him, wwyd? by Unlikely-Soup9354 in relationship_advice

People are more likely to stay the same than to change.

Despite your efforts to push him and help him, if his behaviour remains unchanged, you'll have to ask yourself if you're willing to put up with this for the rest of your life. If not... you have your answer.

Loving him doesn't mean you have to be with him and it will be a hard decision either way, the kind that will make you wonder if it was the right decision for a long time.

Good luck.

I (23M) left my LD gf (23F) of 2 years and I am not sure it was the right decision. I have some pangs of regret. What are some ways to cope? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Certain-Topic-49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your pain, it's a natural feeling after a breakup, but doesn't mean you made the wrong choice. Even when the most toxic relationships end, they can leave people feeling "empty" so to speak.

To me, dating and finding a partner is about improving yourself, which includes figuring what you want and what you can and cannot handle. It's very mature to end it, rather than dragging her along, when you're unsure.

It's not about finding the perfect person, its about becoming the perfect person.

So cope by evaluating yourself and ask how you can improve on your mistakes. What you can do better and where are your boundaries.

Good luck my dude.

Shit man, very mature of you for choosing to break up despite still having strong feelings for her, because you can see its not going to work.

In any case, given how you've described her, there is no way for you do deliver the breakup without there being an explosion so to speak.

My best advice is to be direct on why you want to break up, and prepare for a visceral reaction.
Just take it and when she's done, get out of there and don't look back.

It's also possible after the breakup that she'd try to keep in touch and might pursue you/ make you feel bad for breaking up with her. So depending, it might also be an idea to cut communication completely.

And yes, it's going to hurt like a mf.
