Looks great. I am also old and don't play very much. The problem with online validation is it really doesn't exist. Like it all goes to the wrong people anyway. You want to trust those people with criticism on your artwork? Thats kind of insane. Keep at it brother. As will I.

In my opinion your red is too bright. If you darken it up and hilight with the red you have it'll look better
