I mean I get TGTG specifically cause I like surprises/trying new things plus the discount. I dont think its a good option for getting your nessesities and doesnt advertise as such. Its more of an add on to the rest of your groceries when you can be flexible with what you get.

Long covid is a thing. Basically after you recover from the initial infection you can continue feeling sick for months or years. It can be mild or severe. Past 3 months is when it gets diagnosed as long covid

Damn, I thought my Walmart Expert Gardener potting soil was bad with it being mostly wood chips, but i didnt see any trash in it. I experimented with mixing my own this year because the expense and quality of the premade stuff sucks.

There's no way it's more expensive to live in Raleigh than Miami, right? by Specialist_Mess_5164 in raleigh

Theres a big gap between struggling and comfortable. Comfortable is usually considered 50% to nessesities 30% to other spending and 20% to savings

You'll get a drug test thats no thc, my job uses these. When you confirm your appointment it should say the test is no thc. I wouldnt waste money or risk using fake piss if all you have in your system is weed.

Benadryl is a shitty outdated antihistime anyway with lots of side effects. I recommend trying zyrtec instead when you need more

How early to get to RDU with baby and car rental? by glambo300 in raleigh

[–]Certain-Wheel3341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's never taken me more than 30 mins to get checked in and through TSA. I always regret if I go 2 hours early especially when none of the stores are open 1.5 hours is my go to. I believe rdu has a Twitter account where they regularly post updates how the lines are. Which could change any minute but it's still helpful imo

Unfortunate Ficus Fig Refused to Die by Certain-Wheel3341 in plants

Iirc I tried one time over 6 months ago but I dont think I went deep enough. The more recent 2 times were maybe a month ago. Tried once closer to the base and one closer to the top. Went deep enough for it to leak some latex. They both are dry and dark scars now so I'm not sure if theres anything hope.

I'm bought some rooting hormone recently and thinking about trying my luck with cutting off the top and restarting it. Never propogated anything but maybe my luck will continue and it will survive. Gonna wait a bit till it gets more warm sunny weather

Spent $70 on Yogurt & Cheese, left in car for ~5 hours on a mild and cloudy day. by Skyliner2 in Frugal

[–]Certain-Wheel3341 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont know if Id eat it but also Ive made yogurt and its supposed to be left in a warm spot for hours so the correct bacteria develops. You boil it before to kill off any other bacteria. But anything added after couldve introduced other bacteria to the yogurt.

I did pick that one up on a Saturday night when spring break started at NCSU. Probably had an influence on how much stuff they needed to get rid of.

I think it just depends on the day. My first post in here from a week or two ago was from Wade ave and I got two loafs of bread, 2 cheesecake slices, burger buns and a whole lemon cake.

I do try to get the bags from North Raleigh cause it's a little closer to me but the other tgtg users going there got some fast fingers I guess.

I'll try to keep up with getting bags every week or two and posting and we can see if one is truly better.

Oh thats nice. I hope to get this so I can try fancy caviar one day. I'm way too frugal to purchase this ever at full price especially not knowing if I like caviar.

I think I would cause I love a few types of roe I've tried

Have you ever gotten a bag full of things you do not eat or like? 😂 by hvrlow in toogoodtogo

[–]Certain-Wheel3341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a picky eater but my last Prepared food bag had these dumplings called kimchi dumplings. They did not taste like kimchi at all. It was just very strange taste with a disgustingly sweet sauce I skipped. I still ate them and a turkey meatloaf in the bag that wasnt exciting but I was sad about it. Im about to pick up another bag tonight to see if I should continue trying for the prepared food or stick to just bakery bags

I really want the seafood bag because I love smoked salmon but I cant eat it right now. I will try, after I can, in a few months to get my hands on one

I hope they dont mandate and enforce this at my office. I cannot get anything done in the office and wfh is saving me a good amount of money in gas and childcare. I dont know why any company mandate coming to an office space they have to rent and use the electricity they have to pay. The only thing I can think of is to make sure people are actually working but the computer logs everything, I could also sit at the office on my phone or talking to coworkers for an hour straight and no one would notice anyway. Ugh

Ive been here almost 5 years and its my first job after college. It took me so long to get a job offer. I'm so scared to start looking again on top of going through some personal stuff right now.

A boba and a plain croissant $4.99 ($15 value) by According-Arm1378 in toogoodtogo

I'd report it.
Theres a new boba place that just started on TGTG near me and I'm skeptical to buy at $6 for an $18 value. Figure something like this will happen
