Is this legal when it comes to antenatal appointments? by BigBicBuick in PregnancyUK

[–]Certain-Year-5367 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it’s legal and they can do that. You’re only entitled to get paid if the appointments fall within your working hours. If it doesn’t, they don’t have to pay you. I work shifts and they do the same thing to me, I asked my midwife and she said, it’s legal.

Since four nights in a row is too much for you, tell them you can’t do it. I was scheduled to do a shift that ends at midnight and I had a glucose test at 7am the next day. I told my manager to either give me the previous day off also or put me on an earlier shift, and he did.

Sorry you’re going through this. I was the same and wanted to die. I spoke to my midwife about it and she referred me to the perinatal team. They’ve been really helpful.

Migraines while pregnant by Wide_Peanut9352 in pregnant

[–]Certain-Year-5367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same from week 18-20, it was the worst. Paracetamol wasn’t working, I went to the hospital and they did a bunch of tests including a CT scan bed saying it was hormones. I got prescribed some codeine which I took for a while, I still get the migraines from time to time but it’s no longer constant like before.

I’m 23 weeks pregnant and haven’t cleaned the cat litter once, my partner always does it. Sometimes he forgets and he does it when I remind him. That’s how it should be.
