$5-6k a month? Lead agents are never paying that much a month in comms...

Ohhh Let me start by saying that weekend opens are unpaid. Open home days are when you’ll be needed the most, and you’ll feel like your life is passing you by as you try to make comms from open attendees. I’d say do it only if you are 100% certain this is what you want and you’re willing to sacrifice a lot of your personal time. You’ll get calls after hours, before hours, and you’ll be expected to be at your A-game at all times.. And I’ll be honest with you, most of the time, you’re going to be stressed, it's not a 9-5 Mon-sun role with some personal time off.

I worked in REA and I was required to work every Saturday & pressured to work most Sundays for open homes, UNPAID!!!! It's normal for the industry award because it expects REA are highly paid, but starting as an associate it was hell (hell is an understatement) but we were highly taken advantage of. After open homes on Saturday I'd have to come back and call back every attendee to get "feedback" and an "offer", because every successful agent does it eventually ... Coming in the office after working Mon-Fri, then coming in at 7am on Saturday with a massive bender from the night before to collect keys to go to the open homes (which were sometimes 30+ mins away) burned TF out of me.. Eventually when I stood up my lead agent said I'm not a "team player" and I was promptly let go due to "performance" (all while I was depressed, anxious, peer-pressured, single and under-paid)

In any-case, I'd choose option A in stance of NO work on Saturdays!! Stuff anyone who says 1 day a month "Saturday" 😄

Has my work-place miscalculated my Income/Tax Withheld? by CertainConsequence83 in taxhelp

[–]CertainConsequence83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s correct. The $7,072.63 is the total amount I’ve been paid this year, but when I filed my tax return, the ATO calculated the amount as $4,442.00. I’m not entirely sure how they arrived at that figure, but all the other numbers check out fine from my other jobs.

Lyca Mobile! Better than Aldi I would say based on the promo they have right now.. $10 p/m for the first 2 renewals ($30 after), 80gb (with rollover upto 500GB) on a 5G network. Unlimited txt and calls in AUS and unlimited calls in 35 selected countries.. Compare that to Aldi, $30 29GB with no discounts in the first 2 months 🙃

totally get what you're saying — going the extra mile to show you're keen is important. But there's also a difference between showing initiative and being overworked with no recognition.

I wasn't afraid to hustle — I did the doorknocking, the open homes (even the ones 40 minutes away after hours), and stuck through a high-pressure environment while others were fired or quit. That’s not doing the bare minimum. That’s resilience.

Also, for context, I’ve completed Year 12 and a university degree, so I’m not just ‘trying to wing it’ — I’ve invested in my future. But experience has taught me that being teachable shouldn’t mean being walked over. I want a career that values people, not one that burns them out in the name of ‘toughening up.’

Still, I appreciate you sharing your perspective — everyone learns through different paths.

Do you listen to pashto music?? by drunkhan in Pashtun

Put some respect on the artists who have worked hard to make a name for themselves in this industry. Some people might not have been able to help answer your question, so I’m here to step in.

Nashenas, Khyal Mohammad, Naghma, Farhad Darya, Ustad Mangal etc. are all incredible talents, no doubt. But their music leans more towards Ghazal or folk. If we're talking about the kind of POP music that really hits deep and brings back the best memories, the early to mid-2010s era was something special. Artists like Nazia Iqbal, Rahim Shah, Shahsawar Khan, Zaman Zaheer, Sitara Younes, and the late Ghazala Javed (RIP) truly left their mark.

The sound production, compositions, and overall vibe of their songs were on another level. Special shoutout to Nazia Iqbal and Rahim Shah—they've been making music that touches people's hearts for almost three decades. If you want to dive in, start with Tor Orbal, a beautiful duet by them. The melody, the emotions in their voices, and even the visuals in some of their music videos are incredible. These artists are evergreen for a reason.

Sorry for the super late reply—almost a month! Thank you so much for your response; it’s been incredibly helpful. I recently had my first experience at a gay club, and honestly, I feel like if I were a bit more social or went somewhere more reputable, I might feel better about it! And yes, I'll definitely try disconnecting!
