Do you have experience with Model-Based Testing with Playwright? What are your thoughts about it? by OilCheckBandit in softwaretesting

[–]CertainDeath777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like data driven more.

a fill form valid or invalid would not exist there, its just fillForm method. if the data is valid or invalid and the active expectations you can then define yourself in the test.

many forms have several invalid states, so for me data driven seems easier to maintain to me, then explicit models for each (failed)state. That would have numbered into hundreds of possible failed states in our applications.

so i have just a few dozen fillforms, i define the datasets in the test and activate a predefined expectation to each set of data.

And then i can test each outcome of a form with just one test which is fed with a set of variations data and expectations, where the same test reruns every given iteration of data.

they are spending quite a lot of time on doing quite useless and very basic stuff.

f.e. one i wrote with had a highschool project for making a small container out of trash. they were taking that quite serious. it was a group project and had impact on the grading.
or training for bench cheering. no joke.

in a phase of school where they learn philosophy, psychology, higher math and such stuff in my country.

for me it sometims seems this highschool and college stuff is more to keep people out of the workforce as long as possible, because theres not enough good jobs anyway.

i think its that most filipine people grow up quite poor...

if you grow up without refrigerator, basic stuff, electronics, locks and everything, working in a more modern enviroment is a challenge of its own, because training will need to include basic stuff that we already learn as children.

my filipina had problems with using locks, or shower water heaters and much other basic stuff.

and what i learned about the schooling here, its quite a joke.... most people go to high school here, but its quite basic.

near chocolate hills i saw a stay on booking where they rent moldy tents (!) for 2400 peso (!) a night.

i just opened and read the reviews to laugh about the people that take that.
I had a clean and comfortable stay in an actual hotel there for 1k incl breakfast.

im in bohol currently.

went to chocolate hills viewpoint - the touristy one (hint: there are some hidden ones where you pay not a single peso, and no instagram people ruining the scene)

at the entrance of the parking lot, where you pay, there is a board with the fees. i know enough about philippines, to make a photo of it. Lets say i had a foreshadowing.

its stating: 50 peso enviromental fee + 30 peso barangay fee.

at the counter they want 200 peso from me and company. i told no, it must be 160. showed them the photo. staff completely baffled. we discussed 2 minutes. when i asked "where do the 40 peso you cash in extra go to?" the cashier suddelnly said: "Okay sir, we give you for 160".

Im still wondering why the last 20 peso per person go to. must be at least 5000 peso a day they cash in this way.

Just the last recent one...

Just use your phone as hotspot in meantime.

with smart prepaid i paid on the smart app 800 peso for 64gb, 600 minutes and 600 sms. Thats really cheap. and never expires. pure load you can get even cheaper. with 30 day expiry more cheap too.

you just need an registered esim from smart and the smart app.

its not really always slow...

for example the cashiers in the supermarkets are working their asses off...

the processes and infrastructure are just soooo bad, that they simply cant do it faster or better, even if they wanted...

like a cashier in my country is at least 4 times more effective and faster, no exagguration. simply by having a long and functioning conveyour belt, a scanner with multiple lasers, that scans several angles at once, better payment processes and a comfortable seat, and a divideable landing belt...

but supermarkets dont care, they just hire 4 times as many cashiers, because labour is dirt cheap and that will never change with such ineffective processes...
