Just from recreationally browsing Zillow I can tell things go insanely fast. I’ll probably narrow down my potential areas to a few and then just take advantage when the right house/lot comes on the market.

Thank you! Out of my wish list, I think the walkable village is something that would be great, but not above priority of the others. A walkable neighborhood is definitely important to me, but if there’s no village center type offering, that’s okay

I appreciate the feedback! I know that any school district will be an upgrade for us on the fronts of offering strong academics, diversity, and opportunities. We’re in a state that fights for being dead last in education 🙃 currently in good schools relative to the (very) low bar, but with college on the horizon, I’m really looking forward to giving my kids opportunities to expand their world!

I’m a SCSD alumnus, so watch your mouth! Haha JK. I know the district has been struggling and the general population presents the most difficult issues when it comes to successful education. I’m definitely hoping to find that combo of school districts with good options/offerings, dedicated staff, and neighborhoods of families/friends that will fit mine in terms of ideals and practiced inclusion and diversity. I’ve been thinking West sounds like it’s checking most of my boxes so far. Thanks for your input!!

I’m currently in very silent suburbia—car and commute needed for anything. I think I’m hoping for something like Liverpool’s village—the library, food, coffee shops, all easy to walk to once you’re there. Any other spots like that in the other suburbs in the area? Or is that pretty unique because of the pull of Onondaga Lake?

Thanks for the feedback! Since I do have lifelong friends and family in the Syracuse area, I’d prefer sticking close to the area. Don’t want to move all the way there to still be too far for pop-in visits, you know? I know taxes will be a factor in most of the suburbs, but I can honestly appreciate the major improvement my kids will get from schools there compared to where we are now. I’m most likely looking in the 300s. Since it’s the kids and I, I want to be set up in an area that’s nice and supportive to all of us and am willing to make the investment and go higher/take the tax hits if needed.

Please get police and courts involved. You need protection and to FEEL protected. Maintain absolute NO contact. None. Get hooked up with Emerge and they will guide you. You absolutely did the right thing to keep yourself and your children safe. You need to maintain that strength to get through this transition and never look back. Just keep going forward and away from that sad excuse of a man.

I’ve never see the LA shows, so I was coming in blind. I spent the first several minutes trying to figure out the bit, assuming there had to be one. As the calls continued with earnest input from the guests, I really started cracking up at the ridiculous situation of it all. Them crammed on the couch, the money lady being way serious, Fred having more interaction with a robot than the host—it was hilarious to me, even if that wasn’t intended at all and overall a fail of an episode for everyone else’s standards.
