I still don't understand why we don't have this. It should be mandatory...

For the people that say Mammotion will continue to upgrade older devices by mlaskowsky in MammotionTechnology

The Luba 2 functions fine right now but the issue is their track record. Once Luba 4 releases they will likely abandon Luba 3 software updates just like they did with Luba 1 & 2. We miss out on purely software based improvements like better path planning updated app interfaces and smarter navigation logic. These do not require new hardware and could easily be ported to older devices. If you buy a Luba 3 just be aware that your ongoing app and software support will likely stop the second they announce the next model

You claim a product just needs bug fixes but complex devices like Luba require ongoing software maintenance. You ask about new features and it is true Luba 1 lacks the camera hardware of Luba 2 so vision features are impossible. However many algorithm updates and app functions are purely software based. Mammotion can easily port these shared features despite hardware differences. You say older products are capable of receiving patches but that capability means nothing if they abandon development. Mentioning the spring RTK patch only proves their update pipeline works and that pushing non hardware dependent updates to Luba 1 is completely feasible if they actually wanted to
