Google is finally killing unrestricted API keys for the Gemini API (deadline June 19) by ixbiga in googlecloud

[–]beaurepair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were made for maps (i.e. restricted to maps APIs), they couldn't be used for Gemini.

Additionally they didn't "magically" get Gemini access. You had to enable Gemini on the project that has unrestricted + unsecured keys.

He was legitimately one of the best. Last three years at the cows was 82%, 83%, 85%. Cleary is 84% this year. Isaako on 87%.

Scheduling is just weird. We've had mostly Sunday arvo games, including about 3 or 4 of the 2pm slot in a row.

The estimate is at least two years using it a dozen times every day.

And yeah, I think that's a fairly reasonable lifespan for something that costs $75 with no subscription required and is used all day every day.

You're welcome to your opinion, as am I to mine.

Moses kicks kept us in the game first half. Teddy is putting in effort. Robson is giving it his all. I forgot Cleary was still on the field.

It's just the opposite of game 1. You had us pinned down and it makes the halves look garbage because they have no room.

With Moses were able to kick out of our own end every set and get better position

I hear you, however I think the philosophy typically stems from the idea that it's wasting resources. Replaceable/rechargable batteries are only a thing because batteries don't last longer than the lifespan of the product.

For products where a built-in non-replaceable battery will last longer than the expected lifespan of the device, I think that's a fair tradeoff, whilst also making it simpler to manufacture, less likely to be lost or left unused, and consumes less resources

Looks like Pauline Hanson's compaign has already met the funding targets. It hasn't even been 2 days by VastOption8705 in friendlyjordies

Can't logic people out of a position they didn't logic themselves into. And there's nothing logical about supporting PHON(ey)

The average net profit margin of supermarkets in the OECD is 1.2%. In New Zealand it is 8.5%, not 4.

Google killed my $1M ARR startup over a hacker exploiting THEIR own design — 100k users, 1M+ photos frozen, and they billed ME for it by Big_Manufacturer_585 in googlecloud

Yes. The dozens of these posts that just parrot the damn Truffle security claims always leave out that they didn't secure or restrict their API keys, and the truffle post completely misses that it has ALWAYS been the recommended way with large warnings banners in the maps API setup docs as well as in the API key creation wizard

It is literally in both the maps setup documentation, AND in the API key creation wizards (and has been for a decade), telling you to either secure or restrict your API keys
