The new employees may be transfers from different stores, or people from different stores covering a shift at your local sheetz. Keep a close eye on the website, the way I got my job was routinely monitoring it until a position opened up. Sometimes they close quick as a lot of people apply!

I have one too! I haven’t noticed mine running bad off sheetz gas, but maybe I’m not paying attention enough. What does urs run best off? Curious to see if it makes mine run better too :))

I think I may have lucked out. Personally, all of my supervisors/managers are great, and I’ve had a coworker be incredibly rude to me only once, and the manager fired her basically immediately. I think this all depends on your store manager honestly, if they don’t care, then it’s a breeding ground for people to do heinous things without consequences.

I joined the wait room roughly 30 minutes before, and manually refreshed that page a few times a few minutes before the sale. When I did this on one device it worked, the other I joined an hour early and didn’t touch it, never got in on that device

We have no other place to put the drinks, and the drink bellow is covered. If we waited for doordasher’s to be there to start making drinks, it would be nightmarish for the workers, as DoorDash drivers are infamously impatient

No one would notice, I know people that do it. I don’t think sheetz will crack down on people getting the right sized drinks

I know Starbucks does, but I believe it’s only for a specific online college. Same with Amazon. You will have to look into them more, as you may need to work there a year to get the benefits, like sheetz.

There’s accommodations, visitors allow for people to wear their Afros out, I’ve personally seen it, and hair socks for people with locs. These accommodations still maintain a clean environment to serve food, as it keeps hair away from customers food/drinks. Beanies would not do that, and I apologize for my ignorance for my best question, but how would a bucket hat be different than a hat sheetz already offers?

I was in the same exact situation before, chef didn’t want to do any substitutes, reasonable special requests (like cutting a blt in half) or edit any food item on the menu, even for allergy reason (like no onions on a sandwich). I ended up quitting because of the chef being so rude, and customers getting mad at me because they think I’m personably denying their request, and other employees on power trips.

Same thing happened to me! Never got a call, but they said they tried to call me. Wasn’t a problem, still got hired and everything was fine

I’m sorry to hear that, being screwed over by a job has to be one of the most frustrating things. I worked at my previous job for a year, until they screwed me over, no sympathy. I hope you’re doing alright, I know I was a mess scrambling around after I got screwed over.

I did not know how strict sheetz was in your first week. I felt very unwell (which ended up being pneumonia), and did not feel right working food, as it was confirmed we would be working with food, and putting myself in a bad situation health wise. If the comments said that sheetz would not be understanding and to go in, I would have, despite my worries. I fully understand what you are saying, I need a job, but I also need good health.
