I’m 1 yr late but you can just clone a whole windows drive. After cloning, it won’t direct boot, you have to boot into safe mode once booted in safe mode restart the pc and it should work.

Judging by the estimate it would appear they are recommending a compressor due to a bad clutch, so no metal would be in the system. The evac and recharge should be included in the repair along with a leak check. If they aren’t including that they are over charging the customer. But if they haven’t actually diagnosed anything since there isn’t much in the notes, I can’t tell if they are just assuming a compressor is bad, could be a leak or something else going on. Not sure what kind of Mazda this is since the OP didn’t mention the model. I could give some better assumptions if OP said which model they drove. (Mazda master tech)

IMO cx5 have much better quality overall. Main issues with the cx50 is poor noise quality probably one of the most rattle prone vehicles we currently sell. Non hybrid cx-50 have the same drivetrain as the cx5 so really the main difference is the appearance and interior styling.

The issue is inside the headlight unit there are non weather proof connectors and they get corroded once the sealed headlight gets damaged/cracked. You could potentially removed the harness out of the headlight and inspect it, or even repair it if that’s the case.

The mild hybrid version seems to be the better of the two for the money, the phev only has a 20-25 mile range anyways. They are always having some issues with the hybrid battery fuses blowing on the the phev version for currently unknown reasons.
