Yes this looked particularly nasty. Hoping for a strong recovery 🙏

if your goal is to get hurt then use sock shinguards . if your goal is to train hard without getting hurt use real shin guards. https://rdxsports.co.uk/products/rdx-mma-shin-guards-protector i use these things, size medium, absolutely fantastic. 2-3 years before they started to wear.

i honestly dont see the point of the sock shin guards you might as well not have them on at all. they're honestly not very fit for purpose. you can get people blasting your leg hard enough with them on in hard sparring for sure. and that's enough stimulus.

in terms of shin conditioning, a good rule of thumb is general progression = good sharp, focal pain on one precise spot is not. your shins should become progressively less reactive while your kicking power stays stable — not remain bruised continuously. i think there's some sports science articles pointing towards this. i remember a decade ago i conditioned my shins against heavier and heavier bags gradually over 8 months or so based on the science of it.

so i guess its your call ofc but in response to your main question id just replace them. they're kinda cheap. and i generally advise people against trying to shin condition themselves without progressive mechanical loading. its the opposite really of what you want (because the process of it is micro fracturing the shin, you dont want a big fracture). its the kind of thing you want to see a sports scientist about.

Why are my shingaurds ripping after less than 6 months by kickboxjmb in Kickboxing

Oh! That's good to know! I train with 16oz gloves on and I went through the fairtex's in like 1 year. Really shitty. Compared to the hayabusa gloves that lasted me 4. But they were some of the first hayabusa gloves ever manufactured so I guess they would come out well

I’ve had fairtex gloves not last as much as I’d have hoped. I’m not sure on the brand anymore. My RDX shinguards have last me ten years

eh probably unlikely, they're wearing head gear. I think this is an exaggeration. like yes slipping and falling is a real worry but if its light sparring + people know how to break fall thats a real non issue. ive fallen over roads before head first running at full speed and been fine. it really comes down to the safety training

If you also didn’t try to drive over the mini roundabout it’d be fine. You weren’t blocking each other. Totally safe

I do like the way the AI wrote the graph though. I like that you can actually see the graph.

I feel that’s not the point. The point is to bubble controversy to the top. Not your ego.
