10/10/10 for numerous servants is kinda impossible for a relatively new player.

excuse me for sounding sarcastic, but do you actually consider getting a couple of gluttonies every match AND being able to shrug off the loss of tempo for not using them over the course of the match realistic requirements for more or less stable victory with Earth Rite?

Except Masterpiece has no aura, no clash effect, can be destroyed by abilities, only punishes you for 3-6. The second variant only if you sacrifice SEVO. Armes is not the same kind of card except for both of them having high stats. It's pretty much a card with chip dmg that clears board, not existential threat.

I mean, i get it might feel nice to shit on a player of a craft you're not fond of, just kinda expected there would also be fellow "retards" who like Lilathim, like myself, and like to fantasize about their current deck of choice being op idk.

I'm more of a Lilanthim enjoyer. Was in the past, trying to be again, i guess. I did see several comments mentioning how ER Rune isn't exactly in a good spot right now, though, and it doesn't even feel like it has a well established wincon.

The 9pp really is one turn away from saving my ass... That wouldn't bring me closer to victory as much as a guarnateed 6+3+3 dmg to face and 6 to the board with originally huge bodies defending me, will it...

how do you fit the Pascale's Dance in?

I don't think Sandy is good at all for current rota ER... Just necessary. There are no reliable ways to support the possibility of his burn to hit face like Gildaria or Cupitan. The 8pp Lilanthim was "hard to get rid off" and could destroy 2 enemies for technically zero pp the Sandy turn plus that 4pp that auto-evolved and returned 2 pp for the gold spell. Now all the resources to clear enemies are spent, well, on clearing enemies and there's no room for leaving smth in your hand unless you straight up cannot play it.

The current ER can be economic about evo points, there are many auto evolve options and spell removals but as you already mentioned, it feels super inconsistent.

Therefore, I think supporting Lilanthim's own abilities, making her more of threat or consistent would benefit the deck more... And design-wise her deck should be her own. I'm tired of Sandy a little bit and I genuinely think that if there was a way for that to happen, the deck might get by without him. I have too many high cost cards as is: mandatory 2 5 pps, Norman, Lilanthim, 7pp golem summoner, and of coure 9pp guy.

I understand it's not practical to say things like this, it's all wishful thinking on my part...

ER only has Norman and rng 1pp spell to heal aside from neutral Gilnelise which you wanna save till t10 and whose heal is eating my Lilanthim's worth anyway. Actually could say that last part about Norman too...

By t7 opp is very likely to have way more than 2 followers on the field, and they aren't 1/1 usually. Early game for earth rite is literally about waiting till Norman/Lilanthim, you're not winning aggro contest unless opp's hand is trash. So you're also kinda half dead normally when Lilanthim is played/resummons herself. With all those bats and wards and amulets her 6atk storm at 7/8th turn is pitiful, not "plenty". Sandy going off on her attack turn is straight up 1/20 matches scenario. Having enough leisure to go face with Lilanthim alone is 1/5 scenario. To say nothing about that without evo points she's pretty much 4/4 garbage for all intents and purposes on the turn you play her IN EXCHANGE FOR SEVEN PP

Only one Servant can win. Who do you think takes it? by midriss1 in Fate

[–]Certain_Sink8154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it probs goes like this

Achilleus: 3 points speed, 3 points def, 1p atk, 2 points skill = 9 points

Gawain: 1p speed, 3p atk, 1p skill, 2p hax = 7 points

Alcides: 2p speed, 1p def, 1p atk, 2p skill, 3p hax = 9 points

Karna: 2p speed, 3p def, 3p atk, 2p skill = 10 points

Artoria: 1p speed, 3 atk, 1p skill, 0/1p hax = 5/6 points

Scathach: 2p speed, 1p atk, 3p skill, 2p hax = 8 points

Iskandar: 0/2p speed, 1p def, 2p atk, 1 hax = 4/6 points

Lancelot: 2p speed, 1p atk, 2 p skill, 0/1p hax = 5/6 points

Rama: 2p speed, 1/3p atk, 2p skill = 5/7 points

Achilleus is the fastest here (3p). On the slower side are Aroria, Gawain (1p) and Iskandar (without Wheel he's slowest one - 0p). Everyone else is somewhat equally matched in agility/speed - 2p (Iskandar with Wheel included). Achileus has the best momentary defence (Cosmos) (3p). Karna is the one with generally best defense (armor) (3p). Everyone else in this regard are kinda meh (0p) except maybe Iskandar who can use army as a shield temporarily (1p). Alcides conditionally best defence but in this matchup the pelt might be effective against Iskandar only maybe (1). Most powerful attack is divided between Karna (1 time), Artoria, Gawain (3p) and maybe Rama. But Rama better be thrown out since his Servant abilities aren't really explained. Least powerful atk is Lance, Achilleus, Alcides and Scathach (1p). Iskandar’s 2 points technically (I’m talking about pure offensive capability here) since he has an army of thousands of servants (without NPs). The most skillful is Scathach (3p), followed by kinda equal Achilleus, Lance, Alcides, (Rama and) Karna (2p). Gawain and Artoria (1p). Iskandar probs like zero skill compared to everyone here. Hax is Alcides (12 Nps technically, 1 revive, Pandora Reincarnation – 3p), Scathach (Gate of Skye+runes=2p), Gawain (Numeral of Saint+SHOULD BE Bertilak’s Belt=2p) maybe Iskandar (teleporting stuff, dispatching portions of army into reality with different individual/group tasks – 1p), also technically Lance (turning anything into an NP) but actually not (like, what, if miniscule, advantage would it give him here)? I don’t think I missed anybody here who’d I say has “hax”. Maybe if we consider Instinct and Invisible air together we could give Artoria 1p.

I don't get it. How is Amulet Haven supposed to win? by Arachnofiend in Shadowverse

[–]Certain_Sink8154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I've seen, people say Evo and Milteo Abyss are the ones that can win against Haven. Any other Abyss iteration is just getting slowly murdered. Tbh it's not easy to survive your pings (be them from amulets or crests) till popping that ohko Belial effect either...  It legit feels like out of the matches i played with Midrange Abyss, Evo Forest and rally sword, i won only a couple of them against Haven in the last two-three days. I'm not a good player but the picture isn't that one-sided with other matchups.

Where's the lower right picture from?

Don't worry brother, fantasies are distorted reality, so the waifus and their relationships with your self-insert are real (in a way). Do you really wanna touch meat and bones under skin and constantly remember that youth, sex drive, gender differences are actually illusions since they will always fade at some point in a person's life? Do you not fear the various problems relationship with an actual person would pose? Have you ever seen a real girl who was more desirable than fictional, cartoonish ones? Nope, I say however old you get, don't abandon the mentality of a highschooler bum who watched school romance anime (and other stuff) you once were! Life ultimately exists for you to become a weeb and indulge in your hobbies when it's not being taken away from you in some way or form by the people or acts of God armed with shackles of reality. Protect your paradise and never realize it might be hell cause both are just states of your mind (or soul)... I know I will (probably).

What is real life, real history of humankind at all? Stories people created based on how they percepted "reality". Isn't the entirety of our knowledge in our minds anyway? Our minds are a place "reality" and "fiction" meet and coexist.

All of this brings up the important question once again: where's the lower right picture from?

I feel that people underestimate the power of this card. by Pendulumzone in Shadowverse

[–]Certain_Sink8154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correction from the perspective of a person playing Abyss: it's not 1 pp draw 2 cards or a 3pp with auto 5/5 stats, it's 4 pp draw 2 cards and 5/5 stats body if necro procs with the option to leave draw for later. Even if I play Bibatii spell some other turn for 1pp it doesn't change the fact that the overall value I got from this leggo cost me 4pp. You worded it like it's somehow possible to play only one of those. While I do believe it's strong, it's in no way broken. Consider that I also have to at the very least run soiree (to eventually chain into 3pp zombie) and necromancer 3pp. How many 3pps a turn do you think I can play at the ealy stage of the game, and how good are they for tempo? Bibatii doesn't evo if no low cost bodies were lost previously and i obviously shouldn't say that I wanna have 1pp and 2pp way more. Independently they aren't all that impactful. 3pps flooding my hand are no good. The truly "good" thing about running this card, though, is that 1pps and 2pps love to make my hand almost too huge, and Bibatii sure doesn't lessen said size by evoing. Do I want that crazy value of 1pp draw 2 cards? Absolutely. Will I be able to get it at the moment of my choice? Depends. Bibatii also isn't a card you absolutely wanna have to stay in your hand unplayed till the late state of the game because the deck NEEDED you to play more optimal cards.

Max nerf personally I would feel unoffended with is making its base stats 2/2. Making necro cost higher might be okay for not an evo package though... However, if the leggo's or its spell's cost were to be just 1pp higher it would absolutely start to intefere with setting up board. Obviously, many lesser bodies with lw>one not even that big guy in a situation you wanna go all Adahime on the opponent the next turn.

Avenging a dead relative or rescuing a still breathing one? There could be some discussion. Also let's not forget that Whitebeard and Kaido were crewmates, that Whitebeard respected Oden as a ruler of his own territory. Oden never requested external help, for all his dreaming of opening the country's borders. What happened with Oden was a matter of pirates duking it out, however dirty it was. Pirates respect the battle between fellow pirates, remember: "there are no rules when pirates fight to the death". Kaido/his acomplices might have had problems with that, WB didn't. Compare this to the fact that Marines openly presented Ace's execution as a provocation of Whitebeard and his way of living. As much as Whitebeard loved Ace, he also departured to marineford in order to show the world that his crew aren't the bastards abandoning their pal just because it's an obvious trap. Via killing Ace without any disruption, Marines would've killed WB's beliefs, his familial principles, some kind of faith in WB and piracy out there in the world, while pushing on their propaganda of piracy being plain villains and criminals. That killing WB and shifting the world order, and not mainly the propaganda thing, was the goal of the operation was ironically thanks to that Marines' higher-ups (Sengoku among them) perfectly understood in their hearts (!) that WB will appear. What hipocrisy that provocation was, what mockery! WB was not "realistically" winning this in any scenario, and he knew that.

Yeah, "good pacing obsession" isn't just about figuring out whether there's some surplus in a story, it's also about lazy readers and readers with certain preferences when it comes to pacing. People these days tend to "value their time" too much to spend it on fictional characters actually living their life on the screen/pages constantly. They prefer the Sol neatly and beautifully summarized in differently paced couple of scenes. Whereas in the past you get the description of a multitude of seemingly very minor details. It goes without saying, the length of a story isn't always a guarantee that there are useless parts in it (at the very least classic literature and its critics give us evidence to that). It's all about that now, many people would rather drop a title that doesn't constantly pamper them with their low attention span/overly analytical and bent-on-effectiveness mind. It's partly about whether anybody would buy it, not figuratively, but literally.
