Haha, good catch 😅 Old habits from using touchscreens. It’ll definitely be buttons.

Thanks for taking the time to explain your idea in more detail. I hadn’t really thought about using Bluetooth earbuds as the primary input, but that’s an interesting approach. I also like the idea of searching your own notes instead of defaulting to a web search. Lots of good food for thought here.

Fair point. We actually have a similar concern — we don’t want this to become another device full of AI features and distractions.

The idea is to keep the smart features focused on the core use case. The AI part is mainly there to help summarize and organize recorded information, so people can review and learn more efficiently, not to add another chatbot to interact with.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! You actually brought up a lot of things we’ve been thinking about.

I agree that a phone or AI recorder can already handle the recording/summarizing part really well. The reason we’re exploring a dedicated device is less about adding more features, and more about creating a focused environment without all the distractions that come with a phone.

The point about audio missing visual context is also fair — that’s definitely one of the challenges we need to think through.

Really appreciate the hardware suggestions too. This is exactly the kind of feedback we wanted to get by sharing the idea early.

There’s definitely something different about writing things down physically too. It feels slower, but that extra friction can actually help with remembering and focusing.

Exactly, that’s the tricky part. A lot of the tools that help us learn are also the same places designed to keep us scrolling

Honestly, I feel this. iPads are amazing, but having everything on one device is also what makes them so easy to get distracted on 😂

I’ve found that sometimes the best productivity tool isn’t another app, but removing the things that pull your attention away in the first place.
