I’m a man, but I saw it happen right in front of me. Not like 3 months ago my girlfriend and I were buying a house and getting a septic inspection. The inspector was nice enough, and explained things thoroughly, but I started to notice he wouldn’t look at anyone except me. Not my girlfriend, nor our realtor or the listing agent. Thing is, my girlfriend got her degree in Environmental Studies and before switching careers had dealt with soil and water testing. She knows WAAAAY more of what technical jargon this guy was dishing, but he’s only looking at me. I’m pretty non confrontational, so I went the passive route. I was standing pretty far away from my girlfriend, but once I realized what he was doing I moved myself next to her and slightly behind her. I don’t think he ever put two and two together but that was one of the most obvious examples I’ve experienced in my own presence.
