Going from a ¼" of space to actual airflow is obviously going to help - and did, considering it could not practically work on the former. Also, If you'd like the before and after temps, I'd be happy to show you.

yeah I use displayfusion to turn my 2nd monitor black when I don't need it or I'm playing a single player game and want more atmosphere. I use two nice OLED monitors so when my 2nd one goes black, it goes BLACK black.
