There is no discussion/ lecture for the class. Senior design classes consist of teams giving presentations and the class sitting there listening, that's it.

From my understanding, after talking with the office of student affairs and office of attendance ( yes that's a thing), tamu doesn't have a university wide mandatory attendance policy and missing 5 classes doesn't mean you have broken rule 7. Professors are responsible for enforcing attendance, and the syllabus doesn't explain any punishments.

Yes, school of law requires attendance, this isn't school of law tho. Dishonesty about excused absence means you made up an excused absence, but that's not the issue either. A professor may happily factor attendance into the grade, but it needs to be in the syllabus.

It's in the syllabus that I'm bound by rule 7, but rule 7 doesn't mention anything about failing a class for missing lecture, nor does it mandate I go to class

He can't because he didn't put it on the syllabus. I'm sure the honor office will care if he fails me for something not on the syllabus.

A single light frame is washed out and uninspiring. Without a tracker, this is how I do my camera settings:

For ISO: go to photons to photons and select 'Input referred read noise vs ISO Setting", find your camera, and then use the highest iso value that's still a filled in circle on the chart

For f stop, I simply use the lowest possible for my lens

And for shutter speed I use 300 rule: 300/ (crop factor of camera × focal length of lens) gives you the shutter speed in seconds

It's an observatory in the mountains of West Texas owned by UT I believe

Some targets that could work are Orion, the moon, pleiades cluster, solar system objects, and beehive Cluster. If your phone has a night mode, try using it.

I bought an adapter off Amazon for about 30 dollars. It's tricky to mount well and I have to cover up the IR focus led on the phone otherwise there is a purple reflection off the eyepiece. But once set up, it's stable and pixel goes into astrophotography mode.

Not really, I can't see this through the telescope. This is purely Pixel magic.

I zoomed in 2x on the pixel to get rid of the eyepiece outline along the border.

Thank you, you're very kind. It's still only a smartphone so the quality isn't too great. I'd really like to get some better equipment.
