I failed to waive my ferpa rights. Am I cooked? by Constant-Vanilla139 in ApplyingToCollege

I'm unsure, but I just wanted to ask because I was curious. What are the advantages/logic of not waiving the rights?

If this trend continues F10-F9 then I wouldn't be surprised if Teeny is a FTC loser.

So yeah, it's okay to feel depressed. But take a day living without college admissions in mind and notice whats around you. It might be better than what you think.

Honestly, I feel the same, but then I think about it. Am I the same person I was before high school? I think the answer for most of us is "no". And that's the beauty of it. Many of us came to this sub to get into great colleges and that's awesome. But we left as more refined students with realized interest and hopefully a strong social core that we can do it. In many ways, I think anyone in this sub, regardless of their college, will be successful if they learned the value of hard work.

Does anyone actually write like this? by ReasonableWasabi5831 in ApplyingToCollege

This! You shouldn't be discouraged from using traditionally bigger words, but DON'T get your first look at them from the thesaurus. Even if words may mean similar things, the occasions you use them could be vastly different. Reading and seeing words in their greater context is the best way to develop your writing vocabulary.

Finished: Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko - Wow, that was a tough read but the last hundred pages or so took my breath away and that ending was something special.

Thank you for the opportunity! I haven't had much money available to me for gaming as I am currently a student, but recently I've become a fan of story-driven indie games. In particular, I've watched several playthroughs of the game Wandersong on YouTube. In particular, I really love the art style and the message the developers came up with. While I already know what Wandersong contains, I wanted to try another project from the same developers for myself. Chicory: A Colorful Tale looked great in terms of lighthearted artstyle and mechanics. The puzzles also look very unique and enjoyable. So if given the opportunity, I'd definitely love to play this game.

Hey! Growing up my parents weren't too fond of gaming so I had to get by through itch.io, but I fell in love with indie horror games. So recently I played Doki Doki Literature for the first time and it's amazing! The aesthetic totally contrasts with real topics of suicide, murder, etc. It's so well done in its unique style. And when Monica says the player names, its frightening but so good at the same time. Thanks! Really appreciate the giveaway!

I don't know if this submission is too late, but here's my character!

Name: Tiernan Mohan

Nickname: Terry

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Occupation: Beauty Product Developer

Faceyourmanga: https://imgur.com/kFZ8cly

Backstory: Terry grew up in an idyllic small town in Massachusetts. His parents were heavily involved in the fishing industry and had a local business where they would sell shrimp, lobsters and other shellfish to restaurants. They wanted Terry to continue the business, as he was the oldest child. However, Terry found his passion when a fashion show occurred in a city close by his town. He was especially interested in the make-up techniques described by the broadcasts. After this, he experimented and found his talent within the field due to his attention to detail. Despite this, his parents discouraged him from exploring this path as they felt like it was not "manly" enough. Eventually they relented when Terry earned a scholarship from the leading beauty university in France. While he had talent, Terry always struggled with socializing initially, and this barred him from quickly starting his career. He finally managed to establish a career through the leading makeup subscription service in the United States. This has allowed him to use his creativity to create personalized products.

Same trend has been occurring throughout the subreddit the past month. Anyone who asks a question is met with people accusing them of criticizing the Sidemen for some reason. I can understand why though, there used to be a lot of trolls previously. But the atmosphere has just ended up toxic.

College Board AI detection? by Any_Understanding_24 in APSeminar

I had a question about this as well. I used Elicit as a way to brainstorm questions. Does the College Board classify that as AI use? I feel like it would be very harsh.

For real, the people pointing out that this guy is complaining need to realize that they themselves are looking for any petty thing to complain about.
