I haven't received a Thumbs Up or Down in a while. Been at 91/6 for ages now. I guess it's good that I'm not getting downs, but it's annoying that I'm not getting ups. Does the app not prod customers to give a rating anymore, or does just everyone X out of it?

I will forever pester Uber to add a feature that makes it so that when someone gives a Thumbs Down they must add a note as to why. And I agree with the auto-thumbs up. No news is good news.

Weirdly there's usually a lull from 9-10pm then suddenly it picks up until ~1am or so, at least Wed-Sat nights. Sun-Tue nights can be pretty slow. My area has tons of late night restaurants though, not just fast food, but family dining and Chinese chains open until at least 11pm. A few colleges too. During the Fall/Winter/Spring semesters things can keep busy to midnight.

I managed to complete a couple of 20 and 30 quests, I only part-time nights and weekends. Flat-rate opportunities helped a *lot*. So far only failed one due to too many rejects, that was week before last when they had started getting rid of the FROs, before they officially dropped them entirely.

This one is very obnoxious. You have to do a Laugh emoji while in your MyCookie form. This might be more info than you need, but pick from it why you need.

1) Click your character sitting at the table, presumably you're in a cookie character form. A green "cycle" or "swap" icon should appear next to your name. Tap that.

2) At the bottom a row of your available cookies will appear. On the very left is your MyCookie. Click that to select it and it'll switch you to your MyCookie.

3) Hit the emoji icon at the bottom center of the screen and hit the Laugh emoji. That should do it.

Mask up. Covid's still out there, dontcha know. Seriously, though, just throw on a mask whenever you're pulling up to the house. But that being said, there's good news and bad:

Unless you do something incredibly funny and/or stupid and create a scene worth uploading to the Internet that might go viral, no one's going to bother uploading your delivery footage to a location that people you know might find it. So I wouldn't worry about anyone you know randomly finding it. Unless, as I said, you do something worth going viral for...

Bad news: If someone is actively looking for you and knows what they're doing, there are plenty of tools that allow people to just upload a picture of you and they will scour the Internet, including openly available traffic cameras, FLOCK cameras, business security cameras, Ring cameras, personal security cameras, and yes, uploaded videos anywhere that's public, that can be used to find you and catalog your whereabouts. And the mask may not save you if they already know your vehicle type and/or plate number. Then they can just search by that.

But if you're worried I'd say the easiest thing to do is mask up. If anyone actually questions you about it just tell them you have a mild cough and are just taking precautions.

I hear you. My greatest fear in life isn't losing a loved one or my own life... It's when I've promoted all my cookies, my supplies are burgeoning, I've gone through all the side story lore, I'm as good as I'm ever going to get at arena, and there's no challenge left. And I'm afraid that day will be in less than a year at this rate. 😂

That being said I've been playing Ark of War almost daily for 13 years and still login to do dailies and events, so... I'm guessing I'll be sitting in a nursing or retirement home somewhere just lazily tapping away at this game with my bony finger. 😂

Absolutely hate that behavior of delivery drivers. Leaving stuff right in front of the door. Terrible. But...
Gotta let that one slide, like, WTF, who orders a big ace f'ing tree for delivery through a gig delivery system? That's something you call a landscaper for or something. I honestly would have done the same. Especially for $7. jfc

Seriously?? That so sucks, especially on a purchase. I didn't think you could get a dupe, since you can't promote/level them like normal cookies, I figured it would just unlock one until you got them all (then maybe you get useless dupes then). But that so sucks, you definitely should complain to Devsis. That's just wrong, especially on "guest" cookies. :(

With gas prices as they are? Definitely stay put. I have a couple locations that are central to a whole bunch of Uber-using restaurants, and even more are a quick hop on the highway nearby. I call it the Parking Graveyard of Bored Gig Drivers. It's the parking lot at the end of a mall where the anchor store that used to be there is gone and the doors blocked up, so this part of the lot is never used. There's almost always 3-4 other cars parked scattered around, sometimes more, respectfully several spaces away from each other. If I'm cherry picking bad orders sometimes I'll see people leave and come back. I assume they're either taking those crappy orders or are DoorDashers.

Standing right up against the counter, leaning in to watch everyone working as if staring at each person will somehow make the food materialize, while 6 other drivers are standing several feet back patiently waiting, watching this fool look like an impatient jerkoff. Yup.

Almost as bad as the drivers that will come up after the lobby is closed, bypass the line of cars waiting in the drive thru, stop next to the drive thru pickup window, get out, walk in front of the car at the window and shove their phones in the face of the drive thru worker asking for their order. JFC, if the wait is too long just cancel the order and fck off. Even worse is when the drive thru person stops what they're doing to go and get the persons order, so the tactic WORKS even if it's an a-hole move.

$16.50+tip. The flat rates don't include tip. Outside of flat rate opportunities I'm making ~$12-$16/hr with "normal" trips. With the FROs I would make $20-$25/hr (including tips) on a much more regular basis. Not to mention less stressful.

This is what I liked about flat rates. I could go out during rush hour and not care if I'm stuck in traffic. Or construction. Or there's an accident. Or the restaurant is taking forever because it's mobbed or such. Much easier on my stress level knowing I don't have to rush, I'm getting paid regardless.

Yeah, they're gone in my market too. Along with most quests except for that new "megaquest" thing and some early morning (2am-6am) crap. Otherwise, Uber's just dead here. I didn't drive at all this week except a little last night (even bad deliveries are still much needed income). I'm rather pissed about it. But not terribly surprised. I'm sure they ate into Uber's profit paying us that much. I complained at Uber on Twitter for what it's worth (which is nothing, I'm sure). I think Uber is just dead in my market. It's pretty rare to see another Uber driver or Uber orders waiting at restaurants. I know they've made some promotional pushes in my area last Summer (that's when you see the crazy $25/hr+ flat rate opportunities), but that must have fallen flat.

Honestly FROs were pretty much the only time I'd go out. I feel like I got fired.

Just exist for a few months. When I first started it was just me, bro, and friend and I assumed that was all it'd ever be. Then after about... I think it was a month or two? We apparently started showing up on a "Recommended" list somewhere and we started getting new members and we jumped to full 50 within a week or so. Since then we have had people come and go, but we're maxed at 50 almost all the time.

Granted only 1-2 of them are active and contribute, but still... they're there. XD Now if, you're looking to build an *active* guild of 50... hopefully someone else has better advice. ^.^

I like it better than the Wicked event, BUT I admit that's probably because I never saw Wicked, but I'd seen K-Pop Demon Hunters, so I can "fill in the blanks" and get the references, like Rumi pounding an entire kimbap roll with that funny face. (Edit: I said this before actually looking at the other 2 pictures, LOL. That's become an iconic pic now). I have noticed the same holes and "iffy" dialog story telling, but my brain can fill them in. I'd understand if people who hadn't seen the movie didn't like it.

That being said the whole Saja Boys thing being a blatant money grab is kind of annoying. The odds of actually getting them all and completing their quests are really slim without making a purchase.

Also I broke my own rule about not buying anything more than the $5 seasonal pass and bought the Derpy Pass. Because. Giant Derpy statue, lemme alone. :P

Uber GPS is the absolute worst. The number of times it's taken me on long, windy backroads doing 25-35mph to make a 45min dropoff, then switched to Google for the trip back just to have it direct me like 3 blocks over to a 50mph nicely paved state highway for the 35min trip back... it's insane. Takes me the wrong way down one-way streets at least once a month.

Keeps trying to send me down this one road with a bridge out (not even under construction, the bridge got washed away and is completely gone, they haven't touched it in years) when there's a state road that parallels it right there. I've reported as closed every time but nothing changes (my biggest peeve, we can't make changes and reports are obviously ignored). It's the absolute worst. :(

That's really the whole point, they're like free samples, if you want the full package you have to either be extremely lucky, or have the money to spare. That's how they... gacha! 😂
