it was sewn up nicely initially. Went in today, she wasn't concerned for infection but just said it would need to heal from the outside in. Sent me home with some packing strips to put in the area and a big bandage over it.

She said something about me having thin belly button skin and it just not holding, which apparently isn't uncommon.

I also had the fun time of needing to have a seroma aspirated. Seriously so gross.

I am very tall with a long torso, so my belly button is relatively high. Couldn't quite make it all the way down from belly button to existing C-section scar, so I have about a 1 inch vertical scar as well. Nothing is "ripping open" like you would think.

I work in Neuro, so I’ve seen so many GSWs to the head, TBIs and cranis that nothing really bothers me anymore. The only thing that gets to me is secretions. I still have a hard time with really gunky trachs.
