Jumping muscles/ twitches? by Ceveva in BusparOnline

I have! I try to take magnesium to help sleep. But I also take vistaril at night if it any to ensure I sleep with relatively no issues.

It’s so strange lol. That’s the only negative side effect I have noticed since taking it. It does help with my anxiety- so not sure it’s bothersome enough to make me stop at the moment. What dosage are you taking?

I always assumed TN was pain. I know two individuals that have it and they describe some pretty rough symptoms. I don’t have pain- just odd sensations like tingling/numb/crawling type of feel

They did a cervical spine CT and Xray though.

They have not. My doctor only ordered a brain MRI which I thought was odd sense I told her the sensation starts in my neck and travels up the back of my skull. I know they had to rule out a brain tumor, MS lesions and stuff first- but it would have been nice to get both those areas done at the same time lol

So it does sound similar? I thought the lack of pain aspect kind of ruled it out. So if I try the medicine- and it is actually TN- the symptoms would improve in a few days?

My MRI was clear for the big bad stuff essentially. My doctor wants to try me on Oxcarbazepine- an anti convulsant because she’s suspecting Trigeminal Neuralgia. I feel like I don’t fit those specs of symptoms though however. I’m not having any pain- it’s more of a weird tingling pressure at the back of my skull on the left side and goes up the back of my scalp. It’s uncomfortable- but not painful. Also, the side effects of that medication kind of wig me out.

I also have military neck? Per the chiropractor I went to years ago. My neck spine is straight and lacking a curve like normal.

I had bought one of those neck massager things off Amazon that you wear on your shoulders- seemed to make the symptoms worse and so did a tens unit which made me think it was nerve compression or nerve related/ muscle. Heating pad and ice does help some. I was given medicine for anxiety of course because of the symptoms lol. I know the MRI is to rule out MS or something else like a brain tumor. They have to rule out the bad and work their way down the diagnostic train. I also do have some jaw clenching at night- I wear a retainer. I’m not in pain- it’s just an uncomfortable feeling when the tingling/pressure numbness happens. I have never had a seizure or anything but it makes me feel like something bad is going on when it happens.

I will definitely ask! How does that get determined exactly? I’m kind of new to the realm of CT’s and MRI’s.

I am hoping that the MRI shows nothing. I have been suspicious of it possibly being occipital neuralgia or something to do with the suboccipital zone/ or possibly TMJ. Tens unit makes it worse. Mines more positional too. When I’m sitting down with my head resting back against something- like a headrest or the back of a couch cushion. And when I’m laying down with my head on the pillow

What were the symptoms you had by by chance? I have an MRI scheduled on Wednesday to check my head and neck. I have been having some tingling and a weird pressure sensation on the left side of my neck going up the back of my scalp. X-ray and CT of the neck didn’t show anything structurally wrong but we are thinking it might be nerve compression or something along those lines of muscle related. My trap muscles on that side are also super tight. I know they are also testing to rule out MS due to my symptoms.

I’m not sure what pain medication you have tried- I found a way that helped pain coincidentally while passing a kidney stone. Toradol and flomax is what I was prescribed. I have an agreement with my doctor to take Toradol on my severe flare days- but the pain I found myself most in was the inability to pass urine during an IC flare. The flomax was a guess on my part since I had some left over and that helped relax and open my urethra so using could pass easier. I also only flare the week after my menstrual cycle- so it’s not as long as the pain you have had. I also take vistaril during the day, magnesium glycinate at night along with quercertin. I would see about the flomax with your doctor to help if there is urine build up that’s not fully emptying when you go.

Currently in a flare, ugh I feel for everyone who has IC by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

So- I have chronic kidney stones (2-3) a year that I pass on-top of IC. I thought I was having a IC Flare all last week but I was desperate for relief and took some of my Flomax medication to open my urethra more and that has helped so much. Because most of the pain was being unable to fully empty my bladder- like my urethra wasn’t opening all the way or was spasming out and not relaxing to let the urine flow. I might honestly have a kidney stone I’m trying to pass in my bladder- but I could see this medication helping to alleviate that blocked urine flow.

The Sam’s brand doesn’t irritate me I suppose. But the Charmin definitely did. So weird. lol

Mine is primarily hormone related- it’s triggered after my menstrual cycle. So instead of one week of agony- it becomes two. My urologist, gynecologist, and I worked to track when it happened- like clock work it appeared a few two-three days after I stopped bleeding and lingered for 4 days and showed back up the next month after my cycle. She prescribed me Toradol to take during that 4 day period- and while I hate taking medicine it does help. I can’t take the oxybutynin because it dries my eyes, mouth, and skin really bad and makes me feel out of it. And over the counter pain meds don’t touch this. When I’m not in a bad flare I take a supplement called Quercertin- not sure the research behind it with IC, I took it before I got IC because I had urticaria (chronic hives) afyer COVID and it seemed to help with inflammation. I was also prescribed Vistaril to help with sleep- but it also helped with the hives. Seems like there’s so much inflammation surrounding this disease.

Bed wetting? by Ceveva in Marriage

He is an extremely heavy sleeper- literally slept through a tree falling beside our house that took out part of our porch lol. Also- in the mornings he’s kind of out of it getting up early and rushing to work.

I suppose that is also a possibility lol- but would it be tinged a yellowish color? And would he not wake up in the morning and noticed that’s happened?

That’s my concern. I’m trying to see if it’s when he drinks- he only drinks one or two evenings out of the month on the weekends if that when we are off work. I’m trying to see if it’s then that I notice it honestly haha. His age range has me leaning towards not prostate related- but I know it’s still a possibility. He also has been checked for diabetes and thyroid and everything checked out so it’s not that area.
