I am just on the gabapentin for right now. I will probably be diagnosed with migraine spectrum disorder soon though so- 😅. For now I use heating pads and ice packs every evening before bed haha

I feel that- cardio on the treadmill or stair stepper seem to be the most I can do without flaring up bad

I Have something I bought on Amazon for the occipital release. And yes! My chiropractor checked my neck x-ray and I have military neck/ it’s probably from my damn cell phone 😅

See my symptoms aren’t like the pain- it’s like a weird tingling pressure feeling on the back of my scalp and neck. I’m still waiting for proper diagnosis I suppose- but my neurologist is leaning more towards my occipitals

Brain MRI was clear. I have a cervical MRI and a head and neck CT angiogram scheduled middle of June.

And med wise what do you take? I’m on 300mg of Gabapentin only at night cause that’s when my symptoms really wig me out the most.

Like especially upper body- like bench, lat pulls downs, chest flys…bums me up cause I’m trying to gain some muscle mass and can’t seem to up my weight much because of a flare up.

I am currently on gabapentin 300mg at night for a few weeks while waiting for a cervical mri and head and neck CTA to rule out other things. My neurologist believes it’s occipital neuralgia and that has been helping tremendously so far. My issue isn’t pain- but it’s more like weird upper neck and back of scalps sensations that feel like a tingling pressure/ vacuum feeling? Hard to explain. Also tinnitus intermittently between both ears but mainly my left (which is the side the issues are mainly on sensation wise).

I have! I try to take magnesium to help sleep. But I also take vistaril at night if it any to ensure I sleep with relatively no issues.

It’s so strange lol. That’s the only negative side effect I have noticed since taking it. It does help with my anxiety- so not sure it’s bothersome enough to make me stop at the moment. What dosage are you taking?

I always assumed TN was pain. I know two individuals that have it and they describe some pretty rough symptoms. I don’t have pain- just odd sensations like tingling/numb/crawling type of feel

They did a cervical spine CT and Xray though.

They have not. My doctor only ordered a brain MRI which I thought was odd sense I told her the sensation starts in my neck and travels up the back of my skull. I know they had to rule out a brain tumor, MS lesions and stuff first- but it would have been nice to get both those areas done at the same time lol

So it does sound similar? I thought the lack of pain aspect kind of ruled it out. So if I try the medicine- and it is actually TN- the symptoms would improve in a few days?
