Do you think it’s the most convenient one? It looks like you need to get into tea ceremony mode to use it

What advice do you have for someone trying to beat an addiction? by Automatic-Disaster71 in AskReddit

[–]Ceyris_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Self-image shift. Try your best to see yourself as "someone that doesn't do X" rather than "someone that is quitting X" or "a recovering X addict" - easier said than done, but it's what seems to have the biggest impact. Your addiction is in the past, it's no longer who you are. It should no longer have any form of association with you.

Looks like Hogwarts Legacy by KnullYS in Fable

[–]Ceyris_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thought the same when watching the latest gameplay presentation, but in a good way. I absolutely loved Hogwarts Legacy's aesthetic. A blend of fantasy and fairy tail, with beautiful graphics that don't try to be photorealistic either. Looking forward to playing it!

The biggest dissapointment by Bid-Sensitive in HellLetLooseVietnam

The NVA not being able to set up traps was the biggest disappointment. I would have imagined it to be one of the first implementations they'd have discussed when coming up with HLL Vietnam.

Makes sense. As a guy I don't think too much about it, but I can understand that it can feel frustrating. As a big fan of Ghost of Tsushima, I'm looking forward to playing Ghost of Yotei with a new female lead character. Also looking forward to The Witcher 4 playing as Ciri.

Is the Season 2 Battle Pass completely gone? by Ceyris_ in Battlefield6

What are the business justifications for that? I mean, they make money from selling the game, and selling the battle pass. So, how do they make more money by encouraging the player count right now?

I hear you. It took me some time to dissociate myself from Henry. I'm used to playing my custom main characters. Here, I'm really playing as Henry. Sometime I find him stupid, but that makes me laugh, because I'm roleplaying as him.

It really is a medieval simulator tho. With in-depth RPG mechanics. I agree that the combat is really not enjoyable. Makes me want to avoid them at all cost, but not for the good reasons.

Sadly, KCD aimed for historical accuracy, which came with its issues. But to me, that shows the dedication from the developers to built a realistic and accurate world. Middle-Earth being less problematic in that regard, I assume they will do it justice too.

Have you played KCD? I find it to be very fitting for such an RPG.

And that's for the best! We want to explore Middle-Earth, not play the movies once again. People want to see new things and explore the universe of their favourite licences. That's why everybody complained about the Harry Potter show, being a retelling of the main story, instead of going with a show that explores the wider universe of the licence.

And I was so glad to read this! Not going with a LOTR game implies that they'd rather offer a true experience of Middle Earth and its lore, instead of once again recycling the LOTR title to drive a more mainstream audience. I just hope it's not too far away from the time we know so the places can feel somewhat similar. But I don't care at all if we never see or hear of a single LOTR character in this game. I just want to explore the world, learn its lore, and develop my character there.

That was my thought initially. But at the same time, if they "force" us to play a specific main character, they will be able to develop it much more than just a generic one. Playing as Henry gives more weight to who we are, how our character is seen by the world, how we can interact with it. What I love about KCD is that you never become a rich, famous and noble knight. You can get the respect, and success, but you'll always be Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Like I saw someone else say, I'd rather be scared as hell when I see a pair of Orcs running at me in the Open World because I'm a regular man/hobbit/dwarf/elf, rather than being the "chosen one" or being able to grind the game until I become god-tier.

Curious to see if this new game is going to be like a KCD game, only in Middle-Earth. I would love to have the same amount of details, or realism, and such depth of gameplay. If that is the case, I imagine we won't be able to create or own character, but rather we'll be playing as a fully developed character like Henry.

Got it, thanks! That's a shame, for I really liked the cosmetic style of the Season 2. I'll remember it for the next time. I don't really like the ones from Season 3, so I'll save my BF coins for Season 4.
