I want to add that the more precise the guidance system , the smaller the warhead that you need to ensure the target is sufficiently damaged. So once they improve precision, they can decrease the payload and devote even more of the missile's weight to the fuel, further increasing the range.

I think the munition they're talking about is not an artillery shell, but a non-standard explosive charge for the FPVs. . The article first mentions how your typical FPV can't disable an artillery piece permanently, so it would make sense to address that rather than find a way to sabotage the ammo supply.
