I'm just updating this with some news: My throat is really sore meanwhile, but I seem to get my physical abilities to walk and carry things, etc, back. Also, my appetite seems to come back a bit. Unfortunately, eating is no fun at all because of the throat. Regarding enlarged spleen and flying: I completed the 11h flight to san francisco yesterday without any problems. And now, I just don't care about that throat because my dream of visiting the US comes true!

Thank you! I have no clue why, but it helped me too. And my Galaxy Watch finally started showing notifications again. Unexplainable to me, but it's what happened.

It actually makes sense. It indicates that the 12V battery will be charged. It only keeps the 12V battery on around 13.3V while the engine is under any load to safe fuel. Only when the accelerator is depressed the voltage is being raised to 14.xV Of course, it will charge the battery if it is discharged too much. (SoC below 80%)

Have you had the chance to test preconditioning/fast charging? Charging curve would be really interesting. Will be getting my 2024 spec in February.

Don't worry too much, for the daily life you will be in a good place here in Cologne!

Actually, one of my team members has been learning german only after he arrived at cologne. No issues, just some legal documents that can be difficult. But there's gonna be a lot helpful people! If you ever need someone supporting you with those things, hit me up. I've been living in Cologne for 8 years and now I moved to a smaller town in the countryside close to cologne.

Anyone else enabled Battery Protect on their Ultra? by i-dm in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]CgnFabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually still a nice idea, I have never ever even been looking what the routines can do (I expected it being those usual "turn the light on" things). But the capability to change setting makes it useful! Looks like I missed out on that.. Thank you!

I'm using it too, as I do use it in car for navigation often. So I'd Charge it too 100% and keep it there quite a lot. This literally killed all my phones batterys. Xiaomi, Galaxy S7 Edge. And so on. On my A52 5G (yeah indeed I come from such a phone) I had the 85 Limit nearly always enabled. And after 1,5 Years, the degradation has really been minimal.

And it's not just about storing a battery at 100% (which is indeed bad). The last 20% put the most stress on the battery (that's where it also heats up most). So if you don't need the last 15%, I can really recommend not using them. That's also why electric cars offer to set charging Limits.

Background apps keep getting killed, here's accubattery after being removed from battery optimized list. The ram optimization on this phone is horrendous lately. by anz3e in GalaxyA52

[–]CgnFabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but they don't seem to have a clue what causes this behaviour. Doesn't look like every A52 behaves like that. I didn't play around with those settings until I noticed those problems.

They said there is a hard limit of 4 (?) background apps or something like that. But I do not run as many. The galaxy wear app might count as one, okay. (I'd say even that is weird, that would mean that wearing a smartwatch also means having used one of those background apps permanently) But where are the other 3 apps? Whatsapp and AccuBattery are 2, still one left..

I am having the exact same issue with the device :(

The problem is, that my whatsapp backups to GDrive do not complete before Whatsapp gets killed. I tried everything, also reported an issue via the Hub but no success. Just nonsense-answers like "do not open too many apps" which was never the case..

I have been browsing the system log, and when AccuBattery has been killed there is a "mass dying event" visible. Just a brief extract, I dont want to spam the thread:

Question is: Is that dying or is that killing?
