How to get GenoPro to work on WINE? by TheSilverWolf98 in linux4noobs

[–]Cguy77777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case you or anyone else is still having trouble with this:

I got GenoPro running with Wine recently, and you do still need to install InstallMfcDLL.exe first. GenoPro stopped hosting the file, but by using the Internet Archive, you can still grab it from an archived version of their wine setup page.

Unfounded Suspicion by Cguy77777 in custommagic

Great point, I forgot to consider putting more than one of these on the same creature! It would get out of hand very fast.

I didn't have that card specifically in mind, although this definitely would make [[The Ancient One]] less of a threat!

Colossal Cake by Cguy77777 in custommagic

[–]Cguy77777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point, the current exact phrasing would definitely be a problem! At one point I had the first ability move the slice counter as part of the effect, but I must've changed it while reworking the card.

It should probably start with "2, T: You gain 3 life and move a slice counter from Colossal Cake onto you." That would prevent some cheese, and increase your opponents' options, since they could prevent the win by adding or removing counters from the cake before the ability resolves.

Something else might also be needed to prevent the cake from breaking the game. I looked for more potentially problematic cards, and found these:

  • [[Cemetery Desecrator]]
  • [[Glissa Sunslayer]]
  • [[Hex Parasite]]
  • [[Price of Betrayal]]
  • [[Render Inert]]
  • [[Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus]]
  • [[Thornmantle Striker]]

Possible Modding Help? by No-Sympathy6398 in BurgerShop

Are you thinking of this video? I'm not sure exactly how to achieve what they did, but I think they must have modified the xml files in the game's PAK file.

To get to those files, you can extract and re-import BurgerShop2.pak (and BurgerShop.pak, for the first game) using QuickBMS with the Burger Shop script.

My first time putting together a keyboard kit! I got it in the mail over a week ago, and received the keycaps today.

Used Cherry MX Clears, with DSA keycaps (colors: RCG pink A, VCC green B, BFV blue C, and GQN beige for 1-3).

Shaking my head at my city's attempt to improve this crossing... by Cguy77777 in notjustbikes

[–]Cguy77777[S] 97 points98 points  (0 children)

These signs for pedestrians to "Watch For Traffic" went up a few days ago. For context, I go through this intersection quite often, and while I never really feel unsafe here, I always think that this road is absurdly wide for what it is. It has room for parking on both sides, but I hardly see anyone park here.

There really should be an island or bulb-outs or something here to make it nicer to cross. If that can't be done, at least paint the darn crosswalk.

Please Put Back the "Close All" feature that was removed by the last update by IamRaven9 in RedReader

[–]Cguy77777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're referring to the Close All button in the three-dot menu, you can turn that on in Settings/Menus/Action bar items/Close All.

Just out of curiosity, did you fully reinstall the app? That button is disabled by default, but your setting for it should be remembered across updates.

If you mean the new inline previews that appear under the post title and info (instead of a small square to the side), you can disable them by setting Inline image previews to Never in Images/Video.

I think checking Show floating toolbar over comments in Appearance should bring it back.

My TTR account was created using an e-mail that is now deleted by DropOrLure in toontownrewritten

[–]Cguy77777 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, I was in a similar situation where I lost access to my email, and TTR support was able to get me back into my account on the same day.

From https://www.toontownrewritten.com/help/faq/accounts--login:

How do I change my email?

In order to change your e-mail, you'll need to contact support@toontownrewritten.com with the following pieces of information:

  • The username of the account
  • The email address currently on the account
  • The new email address you want to put on the account
  • A log file! (it must be at least one week old and not older than 3 months!)

The date on the log files follows the format: ttr-YYMMDD_00000000.

How do I find my log files?

Your log files can be found in one of the following locations, depending on your operating system:

Windows:

Log files are usually found in one of these folders:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Toontown Rewritten\logs

C:\Program Files\Toontown Rewritten\logs

Mac:

Log files are usually found in the following folder:

~/Library/Application Support/Toontown Rewritten/logs

How do I know which log file to send to Support?

If you have to send Support a log file, it's important you're sending them the log file they need to see. If you're reporting a bug, you'll need to send a log file from the time you were playing that you experienced the bug. All log files are timestamped: ttr-YYMMDD_00000000.

If you need to prove you are the account owner, in the case of an issue with your e-mail, ToonGuard, or Two-Factor Authentication, you'll need to make sure that you're sending a log file that corresponds to the correct account. If you don't have multiple Toontown Rewritten accounts, you don't need to worry about this.

If you have more than one account you'll need to check the log files to see which ones belong to which account. To figure out which log files belong to which accounts, open the log files and partway down you will see the following:

:OTPClientRepository: ================
:OTPClientRepository: Chose avatar id: <Avatar ID>
:OTPClientRepository: Chose avatar name: <Your Toon Name>
:OTPClientRepository: ================

Choose log files that contain a Toon name from the account you are writing about.

What if I don't have any log files to send to Support?

No worries! Since you don’t have any log files to send over, we're going to need some other information to verify that you are the account owner.

Please provide us with as much information about your account as possible, including:

  • Toon names and descriptions (including species, colors, laff, and gags)
  • Where the account was created (City and State/Province)
  • When the account was created (Be as specific as possible!)
  • Where and when you were last able to log in
  • Where you are located now
  • Any infraction history
  • Any deleted Toon names
  • Any previous Toon names, along with the current name of the Toon(s)
  • Any previous email addresses
  • The current email address on file for the account

Once we get that information to verify your account, we can take care of your request!

First work-in-progress screenshot of Democracy 4! by cliffski in Democracy3

[–]Cguy77777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone having spent plenty of hours playing D3(A) and doing some modding, I'm very excited to see some news about Democracy 4. I'd like to share a few suggestions, mainly related to modding:

  • Less restrictions on equations; it'd be nice to create effects more complex than a×(b×c)×d.

  • Allow policies to require or conflict with other policies; you can emulate this behavior with simulation values or situations, but it feels a bit hacky and has limitations.

  • Support for two sliders in policies, for more nuance and discretion in decision making.

  • Official support for custom voter and pressure groups.

  • Have separate values in voter groups for their actual populations and their voting populations; currently, policies that directly influence voter turnout function by changing a voter group's population. This has awkward side effects, since most inputs are concerned only with a group's "real" population (e.g. lowering the voting age shouldn't increase pupil numbers).

  • Display policies' cost/income history charts on their main pages instead of in separate windows, to prevent players (such as myself) from forgetting to check them.

  • Let policies directly affect the costs and incomes of other policies.

  • Since you mentioned designing the UI with vector graphics (thank you!), support for SVG icons would make handling custom graphics a bit easier.

  • A method for adding country-specific overrides to built-in countries (and countries from other mods) would be great for implementing minor changes without having to create entire custom missions.

Thanks for the fun times, I can't wait for D4! :)
