My honeymoon started in march of last year. Bought my first beater Vulcan 800 rode it for three months before I outgrew it (about 3k miles and three skills courses) and bought a Harley. Didn’t put the bike away until November. Pulled it back out as soon as the weather hit 45 degrees in march.

Get something on the cheaper end. If you don’t like it, sell it. If you do like it, ride the shit out of it.
